@fronzen: hmmmm... you have a point there - i never noticed that before. - it looks like a running light falsly attached to thin air.

i ll have to check the HardCMP or ingame again - i haven t seen those before....

about the little spindly ornaments. - they are just that... ornaments to suggest a larger shape. - all the "main" parts are attached to a very solid frame underneath the ship. so they basicly hold nothing but only make the ship appear to be more made of one concept - instead of a front section, a midsection and a shell covering the engines.

well - that good news is - it works finally, the bad news is that - when it blows up.... all the cute animals in the biodomes are spaced ! ( on second thought - it might be a silly idea to keep animals in a closed biodome .... )

edit: @frozen: - the "lights" are the freelancer engine making a very poor attempt to make "lens flares" - they exist in FL - and in this nebula ( omega-49 ) the scenery is overbright, thats why the flares turn out to be visible so much.

I think it's superb, from a certain angle it looks a bit Kusari-ish, from another it looks slightly Liberty and the side view reminds me a bit of the Royal Liner and to me this works as zoners are free and independant spirits from all parts of Sirius and would bring a variety of styles to the business of designing ships.
The side biodomes look a bit unprotected especially if this ship finds itself in an asteroid field, perhaps those lines connecting wings to stern could be refined to give some protection.

Sorry Jinx I'm not really satisfied with the newest version. The front somehow looks like a bee's ass. I liked that radial arranged (exo-skeleton) structure better. That current version reminds me a bit of a mixture between the battlestar and your "planet-killer". I'd revert the concept to this radial arrangement. It was somehow more "dynamic"...

I really love the rear part, but please rework those "rips" at the front.

(tear of joy) Jynx, you are really good at these things! So its shorter or still a bit bigger than Rheiland Battleship? This ship would fit very good for our upcoming faction, also gaurding the system we will own soon

yes, its bigger - the first revised version i did was just a bit off too much - it was like 3 times longer than the RH battleship - and kept shooting itself with its flak cannons. ( and missed jumpholes, jumpgates, tradelanes, blew up upon undocking, got spun around by any NPC etc - well the whole bad stuff ) - so this one is around 50% larger than the rheinland battleship.

i tested it in asteroids and its OK - ( in medium dense rocks like gamma ) - and moderately impossible in dense rocks like badlands or omega-5 ( possible, but you really don t wanne go there with such a battleship )

i have also now limited the turrets a bit more ( the original juggernaut has 16 fire-wherever-you-want turrets )
