This is very true, that's why I joined a faction that was giving out the startup money, and I met a lot of interesting people doing it that have helped me with a lot of RP and non RP issues.

And now we are wandering into othertopicland....

There actually are people out there who will arrive on the server, and trade for hours on end to acquire the largest ship they can within a matter of days.

Yes, some people actually have nothing better to do with their time. That is taking the game a little too far, plus it kind of ignores the fact that this is a RP server. The other players in game are not just the backdrop to your story of how you became the toughest hombre in all Sirius or some kind of Star Warsy Emperor.

Now, we need to distinguish between the players and the story.

The story of the Guild's expansion - I quite like. But as a player, it's always left me with doubts because of the players who will play without any consideration for others, and abuse the ID and the general reputation of Guild players.

Personally, I dont think anyone should fly one unless he or she is prepared to play a pirate character in anything smaller than a Gunboat. See how the other half live.

The war between the BHG and The Order is indeed a very interesting piece of rp. the base in Delta would be a very good addition to the rp there. But then the Order needs more people. Too often I see the Order being outnumbered and I retreat from an upcoming fight. If this war is going to have kusari/bretonia proportions the Order needs more folk. that way 2 fleets of equal strength (that means both sides caps) can duke it out. on the other hand, maybe the bhg would-be base can be better located in a corner of Iota or any other Omicron that is practically ALWAYS empty. Omicron 99 or something. that way the order and corsairs can stage raids in a hunter system without blowing up zoners or other bystanders like traders.

and empty systems are being put to use. systems like omega 47, omega 15, some omicrons that are not being used. so plop down a base there and start having at each other.

as for the bhg caps in general. they DO have a rp function and they can be RP-ed well. as long as the red= dead primates are being restrained. we are headed in the right direction with making bounties on small ships unavailble to caps. I truly salute that. Now I have a very good rp reason to just fly by. instead of passing a corsair in dead silence because I don`t want to attack him with a bs. and all the gun happy apes no longer have an excuse to chase a Titan to all 4 edges of Sirius.

So, let the bhg just keep its caps and plop down a base somewhere in the omicrons. that should be a good start. but let`s not be dillusional; no matter what you try pvp cap whores will always remain I think. in the bhg as well as in other factions. just don`t ruin the fun of the good players to get to the tossers.

We should be happy for having capital ships, not whining about it 24/7, you can drive your fighter all day long in sp mode.

If you like fighter/bomber get one and have fun with it, some people prefer bigger ships. So when we have more fun, and when we can use them, why shouldnt we...

yep, some people like hard banking, manouverble fighters and bombers. Others like slow moving, impressive looking, hard hitting warships. It`s just what people prefer. we all play this game to have fun. some have fun when they are in a warship, others when they are in a fighter.

don`t kill off 1 ship type or the other because some people behave like morons.

besides: is it me or has the situation improved a lot?

- I rarely see bhg caps in sigma 13 anymore
- I rarely/never see caps in house space anymore (bar ofcourse house navy)
- Most caps I see in the omicrons refrain from blowing up fighters and bombers.
- the amount of mercenaries in dragon GB`s with nomad weapons and a liberty navy tag has also diminished.

we are headed in the right direction people.:)

Infamous I'd say. Bounty hunters, it's what's for lunch.
