Ok, I've had this problem before, like less than half a day ago... and it's popped up again.
I cannot get the Discover RP 24/7 server to show up on the server list no matter what I do.
The method I used to solve it before was to switch the installation of FLMM, FLAM and the game onto my other harddrive... but I've done this again but switched back, and switched back across, and again... nothing works.
I've tried clean and complete reinstallations of everything FL-related, as well as done virus checks, disabled anti-virus programmes, DxDiag, etc. etc..
Now, I am completely stumped on what I must do to get the server to show up.
When I was actually online on the server today (around 14:00 to 15:00 GMT (London time)), I was just mining at a clump of rocks in Colorado system, then all of a sudden I get major lag and packet loss, which did NOT show when I executed the "/pink" command in-game...
Now, I'm assuming it's got something to do with my Internet connection or my ISP... But I have checked that already, and the people at the other end are telling me everything is fine...
Im not getting the server to pop up thats it, the shortcut works just yea, any suggestions? anyone with the same prob should post here if they can, kinda like a Bump for the admins if they see this\
Bare with me as I'm not overley IT literate ... should I clean install and redownload beta3? ... are there any other steps I need to take and if so what? ... FYI I did save an open sp in beta 2 (default settings) ... was playing beta2 online just fine till I crashed to desktop and haven't been able to see the server since ... oh and if anyone sees -=Blade=- can they give him my email pls: mckenziecom@hotmail.com ... cheers.
This has been happening to me frequently as well - even with windowed mode and the GLS workaround. Something is mucking up the .EXE in a form that it makes it unable to see servers - and for those that can't reopen the game after you close it, check your processes and you'll see that the freelancer executable is still running AND taking up some CPU. For me, when it happens, I end up having to remove everything FL-wise except the mods folder and re-install it all once again.
I would appreciate a less bothersome and more permanent fix.
' Wrote:I've already got the global server workaround and i cant see the server....
To both of you:
-We now have an Auto-Updater installed, therefore Freelancer.EXE is no longer Freelancer.EXE.
-The Global Server Workaround uses a .dll to work. I have uploaded a fixed one that Cannon made for us, so we can use the GLS. It's around here somewhere, I'll go have a look for it in a second.

Calm down, our "mucking" with the EXE is actually renaming it to FLSP.exe, which allows us to update the Freelancer file using the Auto-updater. This will allow for more regular updates and easier fixes. Whenever you open Freelancer.exe, it automatically checks the server for an update, and then will launch freelancer.
allrighty, i have the same problem, the server doesnt show on the list, only mod i have activated is 4.85 beta 3,
now Seth where do i put this globalworkaround.DLL thingy?
(Edit: allrighty, i just put it in a random place, and now it works, but.... the server isnt showing.. the other servers are but not the Disco RP 24/7... time too PM Admins to see if im unbanned yet..)
