I get to the splash screen, and it CTD's, but freelancer is still in the taskbar. Any ideas?

oh wow, beta 4 came out?? No wonder I haven't been able to connect for the past hour or so. I need to find it but I'm having no luck =_=

I fixed it, it was a bad Content.dll

Thank god i had a backup, but now i have a new problem
There is no servers in the list... nothing, and the server status thread, cannon says it will be back in 20 minutes and it has been a while already...

did you fix your shortcut with the server IP in it?

There is a post about this, but i'll save you some time.

right click on the freelancer shortcut, go to properties. put this at the end of the target path for freelancer exe:

-s82.113.48.5:2302

Example: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\freelancer\EXE\freelancer.exe" -s82.113.48.5:2302

ugh, still nothing, but there is the USA server.

USA server is the other server linked to Discovery RP 24/7 if I recall.

The other one should be up at the same time however.

meh, its not... what the hell... its so weird, it was working in 4.853

Try a global server fix mod...
oh and how do you fix the splash screen thing? I do have a content.dll file, but every time I open FL it goes back to task bar - though I can put it back to FL screen if I click frantically in the black screen.

Remember that the fl exe changed with the mod too. if you have a firewall, be sure it's not blocking it.
