Indeed.

I tryed almost evry ship in SP (before 4.85).
And the ship i liked the most is the Huntres, but as you all know, flying a Huntres can be a pain in the *** .
And its not eaven a BS.
BS are bigger.And slower.
But most of us trade only because we love BIG toys, with BIG guns. The bigger the Better.
Get a faction, and u will forget about gettin BS,trust me.Flying in LF/HF with factionmembers its much more
fun then flying a BS and looking for sanction.
Just my 2 cents.
"Your words are powerful; write carefully, with precision and meaning. Use them to nurture, not destroy." - Jools Noctru of the Order of Krath
they think battleships are easy. - both, dedicated bomberpilots AND capital ship pilots ( and ppl that haven t got a business with either ) claim that someone that is flying a battleship and fails to take down a pair of bombers must .... simply, plainly ... suck.
we praise a bomberpilot team that shoots down 1 battleship for their unmatched skill - and we laugh at battleships that managed to shoot down 2 bombers.
the point is - the learning curve for a battleship is MUCH steeper than ANY other ship in the game. - you can master a bomber easily ( its like playing a game on novice level ) - you can master a light fighter easy ( like playing on medium ) - you can do well in most VHF after some practice ( like plaiyng on hard ) - but plaiyng a capital ship is not playing on "very easy" as some ppl might think... its like playing on "very hard".
capital ships are very rewarding if you master them - but mastering them takes a lot more skill, time and efford tha masterting any other ship.... and usually the player doing it must endure a lot more hatred and glee over his effords.
if you buy a battleship, you will suck ( unless you re naturally gifted ) for a long long time in which bombers will make fun of you and shoot you down. - very slowly, you ll become better ( if you do anyway ) - but a battleship that is skillfully used is a fearsome enemy - even for 3+ bombers.
so - what needs to change is mostly the attitude of the people. - capital ship players must abandon the believe that their ship makes them powerful just cause they have the ship. - other players must realize that in order to fly a capital ship WELL, it takes a lot more work than any other ship - and making fun of someone that is trying / learning is - well..... a bit nasty to say the least.

Agreed, good points there.

Brilliant points there Jinx, I agree with all of them. I guess I was a little impatient considering all of that time trading and rep fixing.
Doesn't matter anyway, because I needed the money I got from selling that BS, would of been better if I hadn't bought it in the first place but oh well, can't change the past.

That was taken by Karolis ... hell, look at that cap raping ! (Also the one who got this ship should change his ID pretty fast now)
You can see about in the middle of the video I (Bellerophon-B) am just behind at low range just strafing while getting fire from secondary turrets. Just know I didn't even used a nanobot and I used to last easily 30 seconds before I have to cycle for shield.
BS are just ... good against cruisers and other BS. That's why mine is equipped with primary only
What I suggest is to power up the solaris/mitrailleuses and mostly increase their ranges.
Other defence would be the razors, but they got too much power (insta kill from BS).
you wouldnt take a carrier out to the open see without fighters on board, that is the main idea. a battle ship cannot take on bombers alone, 3 bombers was always enough to take on a BS, as long as the bomber pilots are at least at mediocre skill ability.
Well i don't have a BS, i wanted one but then i figured out that that wont do well with i like to do and didn't buy one. But selling a fresh bought BS, i would give it more time... Who knows, or selling it on the market. SSD could auction it for you

Wow Grimly that is awesome you really good bomber pilot, you can strafe so well.
Jinx pretty much said everything there is to say about this threat.
Bomber pilots are annoying as hell , but after a period of time you no longer care for them. When you get the hang of it , you'll see that the Battleship is the most rewarding class of ship to have , when you are confident in your skills , you can pretty much take on any other ship in the game. After such a long time on my Battleship , I learned that the most important thing I've is to stay calm , no matter what. Trust me , when the screen is shaking and you can't hit anything , yet your hull still drops it's very VERY hard to stay calm. But , when you learn to stay calm and use your head , eventually you have a higher chance of winning. I recommend listening to music while flying a Battleship.
edit - About Grimly and other bombers so called "dodging" , I only have one thing to say - It's not because of experience , it simply because Battleships no longer have a CD , thus bombers can EK all day and easily avoid getting hit.
Most people, do not realize, that. A BATTLESHIP TAKES SKILL!
Yes, I'm the biggest vanilla Eagle PvPwhore around here you'll find (Ask anyone who is in a Skype chat with me how many Eagles I have, and you'll find out). They do require skill. Gimme a Lib Dread, eight Secondaries, a cap mk 6/7/8, and 4 flaks in strategic positions, and Grimly, you won't beat that with two bombers. (Anyways, wasn't Bellephron-B a red cat?)

But grimly is awesome he might just kill you, he can actually strafe so damn well
