If you want to reduce capship PVP-whoring, simply reduce the number of situations in which a cap ship is allowed to engage; don't make people do repfixing, which is usually questionable in RP at best, for hours on end.

Here's another PVP-cap-centered-noob in the making. Lets just make it simple for you ... why don't we create a command that allows you to automatically declare your IFF. Lets just have a command like this "/setrep Bounty Hunter Guard" and be done with it.
Alright Baltar, tell me how the activities that are required to get a guard rep help improve someone's experience on this server. I'm rather curious as to why you think the /droprep command shouldn't exist.

I'm not completely opposed to the idea ... but it should cost more. To me ... this command is nothing more than a shortcut and a way to bypass role play. Drop the price of a battleship to 10 mil and you'll see everyone flying one ... and you'll see less traders ... less pirates ... less bounty hunters ... and a lot more PVP.
We just made getting capships more difficult by putting them in guard systems and then we go and reverse the difficulty factor (negating the point of putting them in guard systems in the first place).
EDIT: And how about allowing me the right to look at the opposite side of an issue.
