Alright, we know that the junkers originally came from Gallia. I'm guessing this was before the minefeilds went up or while they were going up (when was this by the way?). Now my question is how did technology get transferred between the junkers in Sirius and Gallia? Were plans drawn up by the junkers or stolen and then transmitted to Gallia?
I am asking because I am working on some RP that involves people traveling between Gallia and Sirius after the minefields were put up. If this was not possible through uncharted JH's (which may have been used for the technology transfer) then how long would it take to travel between Languedoc and Orkney or Languedoc and Tau-23 in a survey ship that would have been used for long-distance space travel like this?
What I read from bits and pieces of information released by Igiss before 4.85's release was that there was a small passage through the mines that they made to allow Junkers to secretly pass through the fields to bring in anything that they managed to steal.
Q: Is Gallia as technologically advanced as the rest of Sirius?
A: Yes. Moreover, in many ways Gallia is more advanced than the other Houses. To achieve technological superiority, Gallia used spies to collect data on various technologies that were used in Sirius. Technology of jump gates and trade lanes, for example, was successfully implemented to build Gallia's own space transit system.
Gallia was not set back by delayed colonization. In fact, larger sleeper ship allowed to transfer about twice more people than other nations could transfer, and right now the population of Gallia is the largest of all Sirius houses.
Q: How was Gallia isolated from the rest of Sirius? Why was it never discovered?
A: Gallia spent decades to construct four huge mine fields to hide both paths, and disguise them to look like ancient mine fields present in other areas of Sirius (for example, in Newcastle). Radars were unable to detect jump holes that lead into Gallic systems. This is why Sirius explorers were never able to find paths between known Sirius systems and Gallia.
Q: What was the purpose of isolation?
A: Purpose was to achieve technological and military superiority over the rest of Sirius Houses. Using information collected by their spies, along with their own research, Gallic engineers and scientists have indeed surpassed the current level of Sirius technology in many areas. However, this also meant that wellbeing of simple citizens was far from being number one on the government's priority list.
Q: The Gallic agents who come to and from Sirius should somehow pass through the mine field. How do they do it if no one else is able to?
A: They use special ships and narrow pathways between the mines that only they know of. Ships and paths are held in secrecy, and players won't have access to them (at least not in the next version). Many of the paths were destroyed anyway during the events that indicated breach of the 7-hundred-year isolation.
Q: It appears that Gallia had an extensive espionage network in Sirius. Do we know anything about the spies?
A: Espionage network was built by a well-known faction currently present in many areas of Sirius. This faction was initially founded in Gallia by a group of colonists who had anglo-saxon origins. Later, Gallic intelligence took the faction under close control. Presence of this faction was extended to Sirius, namely Bretonia and Liberty; nowadays, most members of this faction are completely unaware of its true origins and goals.
That section is more or less everything to deal with Junkers involvement with Gallia and their passage between Gallia and Sirius.
Believe it or not, the Junkers were trained to fly through the minefields (According to infocards). They used the Orkney Jumphole, even when it was fully mined (And also the JH in another system of Gallia, that is a sort of small secret.)
It would take them as long as anyone else to travel, seemingly.
I think there was open passage, since they've put that minefield sometime in the past (I'm not sure when).
That way, i think Junkers retrieved the information from Hackers/Ageira and gave it to the Gallia factions.
That's my opinion on that one...

Well flying through those extremely thick mines doesn't look like anyone, no matter how trained, could pass.
Perhaps there's a thing about mines, that if you transmit the proper code with your beacon, you can render them inactive for your ship, and that's how Junkers that got supplied by such beacons by the Gallians could pass through the mines.
Also, there could've been a small passage through the mines, but then surely someone else would find it too.
The uncharted jumpholes theory is also viable, makes sense, although it does seem a bit far fetched.

Thanks Raisu!!!
Edit: And edited his post to include it.... Go look up people if you have more questions.

Swift, I direct you to this section of my quote:

A jumphole does not only transfer matter from point a to point b, it is also able to transport all kinds of energies, waves and particles. So basically they never really needed to pass a minefield, they just transfered the data not themselves, through the minefield, through the jumphole, to the receiver.
Otherwise:
They used communication drones, they're fast and agile enough to pass a minefield.
you can find rumors of it onboard some of the gallia junker and other stations.
Junkers can go through the minefield, they used small "mine-runners" to go back and forth before the minefield was cleared. Nobody else could get through, junkers are just leet like that.
Also, junkers do not originate from gallia, as far as I'm aware - I think some junkers just happened to find it and saw a good business opportunity in the making.
