You must never have played Mechwarrior 3 online. Assaults got raped by fast mover/jumpers. I had a Puma with huge engine, max JJs, and 15 Clan ER Small lasers that would jump across map, land in rear, and 1 shot off a Daishi's leg. Just like in Disco. If you know how to use your gear properly, you can beat the bigger lads easy.
Ive always found Mechwarrior franchise interesting. But ive never even played a single Mechwarriro game. are they hard to get into? And is the battlefield dominated by no-lifers with unbeatable pew walkers?
Dash, you can buy the MW4 discs on ebay for like $5 each. There was the main game and two expansions both of which were as substantial as the main game. Good way to burn a month of game time.

*highfive, bro*
Puma and Shadowcat were my favorite mechs - small, fast, and still able to carry PPC's. Atlas players on MW3 hated me - they all thought they were top dog until a tiny little 30-45 ton mech started running circles around their legs at point blank range and they couldnt shoot back at me =P
