Okay, you got me there. At least I'm amused by calling the Kadesh ships Egg Fighters and Egg Freighters... and when killed, Scrambled Eggs. And when pirated, Poached Eggs.

Oh, I've got a load of egg puns for them. Almost makes up for the appearance.

Liberty freighter is not welcomed in Rheinland, Kusari freighter is not allowed in Bretonia, Rheinland freighter is not welcomed in Liberty. Bretonia freighter in Kusari? Clydesdale is very good ship, with civilian weaponry, would be good choice.
X-shuttle, anki, camara.... I don't like them.
Best choice would be Dromedary, but how to buy it? All zoners NPCs are fying it, but it is sold only in Hackers base, and somewhere in Nomad space....

Ships, I'd suggest the Spatial and X-Shuttle as your primary choices.

Destinations, Normal Space:
- That glowy thing near the Pennslyvania gate in the New York Badlands.
- The Badlands in general, a unique phenomenon throughout known space.
- The Negra clouds in Texas
- Dark Matter Clouds in general, for that matter
- The Amazing Migrating Sigma-13 jumphole, New Berlin
- The Gigantic Rings Around A Little Rock And A Jumphole, Frankfurt
- The crazy Dom'Khavash planet stacking exhibition in Gallia.
- The gas giant bigger than all known suns in Gallia
- Really, a lot of things in Gallia, because the system designers were showoffs.

Guard Systems:
- The Puerto Rican Rift (just be nice to the Junkers, and don't complain about the repair bill)
- The black hole in that Outcast system (jump in! It's got to lead somewhere)

I'm sure that's barely the tip of the iceberg.

Corvo Cruiser = 200+ million, and I don't think the researcher ID allows cruisers..

You could try Sigma-19 for a good research area.. The cloud containing the Omicron Beta jump hole has those nearly identical gas giants in ordit with one another (Pretty sure they're called Planet's Hades and Cerberus).

There's also that one could near Planet Sprague that you go into during SP. You know, the cloud with the "abandoned" research station that Juni and Trent escape from as the Rheinland military blows up? That cloud has the same sort of weird glowy white thingy that the Badlands of New York has, so you might be able to do something with it..

If using the research ID, you are very limited. But what about using a Freelancer ID? this way it opens up some options (like the zoner gunboat)

I have read this with interest as my brother and I are fairly new to the game and want to do some exploring - we are going to plump for one repair ship and one exploration ship (either x shuttle or anki I think) and head out together into deep space. Should make for some interesting encounters and role play. Freelancer ID seems to be the best bet then.
