You do understand why people ask for help, yes?
Do you also conceive that some folks may not enjoy the 'discovery' process?
Furthermore, and I've ranted about this before, when someone asks for help, and someone responds with 'go discover' that is tantamount to saying Read the Fing Manual. Which is not, and never has been, cool.
Having to find the shrine a test of someone's dedication to being a nomad? I don't follow. Seems like discouraging people who don't want to spend forever looking. Or whom don't want to base their character out of Liberty.
To me, finding the shrine on your own is a sign that you actualy -want- to be a Nomad/Keeper. Asking people for help is in my eyes the easy way. Sure, ask people ingame but do it in roleplay, take screenshots off that and include it in your application. But yelling for its location on the forums will only make you lose points in my eyes. Ofcourse, being told to 'go discover' can be quite annoying, but I'll say it again, it only shows your dedication rather than getting discouraged by it. Hell, there's quite some folks out there who have found it on their own, and I'm taking a wild guess here but, I think those people even outnumber the ones who havn't found it.

God knows it took me ages, but yeah. It's hidden for a reason.

There are lots of ways to find it inRP actually. For example one time I was playing on my mercenary character, and so it happened that I had a nice and lengthy roleplay conversation with the Order, during which that theme suddenly sprung up and while not a precise location but at least pretty straight-forward hints as to the location.
Then there are Oracles, once again on my other indie character I happened to stumble upon them and having a nice roleplay chat, finally at it they have shown me where it is, not directly but hints given were more than enough to find it without a big hassle.
I can count approximately six or seven cases at which I found out where it is fully in-RP at various characters of mine, solely through in-game roleplay. Isn't that enough as it is?
Funny, isn't it? Even though I've made the speaker thing.
So what now? Well, as far as I am concerned, "gimme coords" is just as el cheapo as giving them out straight away.
There are different ways and reasons why people ask for help and what help can be given, Unseelie. Saying where it is exactly would be just cheap. If they're serious about their characters they'll be just fine with simple hints given and that's it. But say if a person doesn't care about roleplay part as to finding it then I'd go as far as saying that place isn't for such person. It's more of a matter of approach to things in general here at Discovery.
Johnpeter, nice job at failing to hide it, you do realize that there are actually several other color schemes this forum has? I guess not.
If you go there and buy the nomad trial ID and nomad morph, you will be severely limited in what you can do. Basically, no PVP except in self defense. Its even worse if you do that with no RP what so ever.
also there are none, and can never be indie nomads. As any Oracle will tell you their minds are all linked together in a vast group consciousness. If you want to be legitimate and not some "lolmad" then your best chance is through the Oracles, or some other form of extensive RP.
Yes, however, anyone can write something about a place they've already been on another character or on another server, that's generic. Basicly, the plus points come from proving that you engaged with people in propper roleplay to find the damned thing.
