this is an idea for a harvester faction GB. - i don t know if they really need one. - but balthazar kept asking for an idea. - the image does not show the concept for the engines ( the two tubes ) - they are meant to be glowing/pulsating "glass" cylinders ... but metasequ cannot show transparency in that state.

the ship is meant to look kind of organic like the cruiser - with definite features that resemble a lifeform or at least a head / squid thing. its got angular elements as well as smooth shell like elements - like the cruiser and - judging by the looks, i d say - it would be a rather lightly armed / armoured gunboat type.

Oh my Godess, That looks tiny... 4 turrets? Without the need for crew it should be probably... but that's a nightmare...

i wouldn t even think of "how many weapons" at that state. - i d more think of 3 turrets + 1 F-gun. - the harvesters might need something to attack medium heavy ships that are too weak for a cruiser, but still too tough for a drone. ( like bigger transports )

for antifighter - they should fly the drone, for larger stuff they should use the cruiser. - i have a half textured version here - and scaled it to approximately...

- 2 times the width of the BHG GS ( well - its spherical from the front in contrast to sticklike )
- same hight
- 3 times longer ( but that hardly counts, cause there s not much that is actually longer than a pair of thin tentacles )

a feeling would say - a max of 3 GB turrets ... and a forward gun would make it weak enough vs. fighters ( worse than a drone actually .. when it comes to dps ) - but good vs. transports, cause it can take the damage while still keeping up a good dps vs. large targets. - it would not be a solo ship though.

on the other hand - such a concept must be thought through - cause i wouldn t want to see an agile bugger with 3 GB razors. - so maybe highly limited arcs on the turrets.

Why make so much ships and stuff for so-little players?

the SCRA, an entire shipline for how many players? and not-so active.

the harvesters are a small group, although it looks pretty and is needed by those who are in the faction.

if it's so light, whouldent it be a gunship? as well as the conference?

Oh... this reminds me... ever player Star Wolves, Jinxie? (A Russian made space tactics/shooter/economics/char development) Them harvey boats ya making kinda resemble what the berserks for that game had for carriers.

Can I make a suggestion?

I'm sure that Balty and the Harvey dream team have a better idea of what they want... But they might be well served with a P-trans esq vessel rather than a baby gunboat.

I mean, they like to go out and nom nom nom stuff, right?

So wouldn't they enjoy something with a little cargo space?

Just a thought.

Purdy ship though!
