So first of all hello to all. I am coming back to freelacnser for the 3rd time. The 1st 2 times I played freelancer was on Jolt. I am from the UK. I hope to meet you all in space.

Hello and welcome. Being an RP server we have some pretty complex rules to make sure it stays that way and everybody has a pleasurable experience here. Be sure to read all the rules and obey them. Some are a little complex, reading sanction reports helped me gain a better understanding of many of them.

If you need help or have any questions you can always post on the forums. Additionally you can stop by the disco help channel where you can also meet some a good group of friendly players (link in sig). This is in skype which is the chat program of choice of this community, I highly recommend getting it if you plan on being active here. Also I have heard the link may not be compatible with some newer versions of skype, if this is the case just PM me your skype name if you want to check it out.

Well, welcome to Discovery. Feel free to ask any questions you need and be sure to read the rules. Trading is by far the fastest way to make money, but it can be a good idea to hire escorts, since pirates can be rather nasty (although several drop their prices if you RP with them). Join a player faction or two if you can, not only does it give you a good community right from the start, several offer help with getting a ship set up with the correct ID, IFF, etc. A totally random helpful hint for you is: Never joust a bomber in a fighter. It usually hurts.

Also, beware of Mon'star, the Keepers, Das Wilde, the Phantoms, the Harvesters, the SCRA and the Xenos.
(Note: I mean it about the Xenos. If you hear more than 3 people shouting YEEHAWW in system chat, it's time to find a new system)

Well,at least I had questions when I started on Discovery.
if you nor familiar with Role Play,I suggest you to join some of the factions,it will help you to learn RP a lot..When I joined the faction I have learned a lot more about RP then I knew before.

Thank you for your comments and advise I will do the best I can to follow all the rules there are so many. Many of them are common sence though.
