Today morning, I stumbled upon a news report, which might be of great interest for us in the near future. According to this, there seems to be a temporary shortage of platinum deliveries to the BMM facility Thames Outpost and the Samura base Osaka Storage, due to some techinical issues the responsible mining corporation is facing. While the mining operations have halted, Toronto Station supposedly still has piles of platinum waiting to be delivered.
Well, needless to say that I went to check out this opportunity, and indeed... Prices of mining machinery on Toronto, and more importantly, the price for platinum on Thames have risen significantly. In combination with our other supply routes, a very profitable route cristallizes:

Hello mr. Director. I regret to inform you that I must take a little sick leave for an incident that happened. Afternoon director, this is the report of an escort service I had today

I meet up with John Peterson today outside Los Angles. He was in a bit of a spot since he needed an escort for a trade run. Needless to say we had a few attacks on route. We started out from Los Angles to Bretonia space after he had loaded up on Los Angles. We arrived at the cortex jump gate and found a band of Lane Hackers attacking passing convoys. With the help of a Liberty Police (LPI) patrol we neutralized all the enemy ships and made the jump successfully to the Cortez system. We passed through this system with no difficulties at all and made it into Manchester. In Manchester we encountered a few corsairs but the local authorities helped us take them out. We then jumped to the New London system and from there into Dublin where Peterson unloaded his cargo at Graves Station. Undocking however he found a few mollies on his tail. Unfortunately I was experiencing neuronet difficulties so I could not help out but he managed to get away. We reformed at the jump gate and jumped to New London. Unfortunately after the jump my starboard wing destabilizer chose to play up and I had to put into South Hampton Shipyard for repairs. Peterson had to go on back to Los Angles without me.
The repairs should be finished in a day or two and I can fly back to Planet Pittsburgh.
