hey people, I got a little problem here trying to connect to the server... because I can't find ANY server actually :(
And that's not all, whenever I let it search for servers for a minute or so, the game just freezes up and I have to end it in my taskwindow.
The reason I think it has something to do with Flmm to begin with, not thinking about the mods etc etc, is because if I run freelancer via flmm, and just try to close it, it somehow doesn't end properly... its process is still running somehow and I have to end it manually again, and this didn't happen if I launched freelancer before installing flmm.
Could you kind people please help me out? I really want to play again :)
ps: I have Vista 64bit, bullguard as antivirus, and the game worked just fine until 2 weeks or so ago, I've tried to search/fix the problem on my own, but now I'm just desperate...
edit: I have the Discovery Freelancer v4.85 beta 4 (v48.54) and the Global Server Workarround 1.0 + I've updated the game via DSupdate, but still ...
solution: for all those having my problem : get Flmm 1.5 beta 1 (http://fllistserver.com/news/category/flmm/) and load the Discovery Freelancer v4.85 beta 4 (v48.54) and the Global Server Workarround 0.9 and update via DSUpdate, and it should work then:)
(always run the game via DSUpdate)
Vista might be the problem with the system since its not very friendly with freelancer. Though some use it. If youre going to run discovery maybe try use the Discoveryupdate/ Discovery freelancer in your files as an Icon instead of FLMM. What you could do for the servers is download Global Server Workarround 1.0 if im correct then activate it on your mod manager aswell as discovery.
Then when you use discovery freelancer to start the game up it should work. I might have confused you a bit :wacko:but I think its ok:)
try doing a clean re-install (of everything, FL, FLMM, and the mod) but don't run the global workaround. just launch using DSUpdate. See what happens then.
It could very well be that Vista simply doesn't like you anymore, if that's the case I'm sorry.
