Hello.
I think many of us uses /setmsg command. It's pretty useful, but I have an idea how to improve it.
When you type /[0-9] | /l[0-9] | /g[0-9] you see only your regular expressions. I suggest to add additional text parameters after regular expression. (if it's possible, of course)
You're a trader for example. When you entering a system you should identify yourself. You typing:
- Greetings, this is pilot. I moving supplies for...
Now this improvement may be handy. Just put this text to 1st cell, for example, and add your destination (Baltimore Shipyard, Planet Crete etc.)
Template: /[0-9] <message>
Example: /1 Planet Manhattan.
Result: Greetings, this is pilot. I moving supplies for Planet Manhattan.
This is only one command, I'll think about others too
Don't mean to be a jackass or anything, but seriously, is it that hard to type in your own roleplay? You're certainly not pleasing anyone with a bunch of pre-written messages. It also makes the characters NPC like, which is exactly what we're trying to avoid.
I personally don't use these kind of bindings. Perhaps when in combat, to name targets and the likes.
So yeah, the ones currently existing are enough, no need for more of these, in my honest opinion. They're quite a waste of time and space. If you do really need those pre-set messages, just download a micro program, and you'll bind as many sentences as you want.
