"Simple enough, K. Promised you'd get a bottle when ye wandered off. An' as fer spankin'... There's probably a worse fate. Gettin' raped by a giant scorpion, for example."
He sank a glass of whiskey and grinned.
"Anyway, I been slackin' a bit on keepin' the cash rollin' in an' the last few weeks been expensive. We still shootin' Bret tubs?"
He poured himself another glassfull and stared at it for a second before draining it again, and looking back up at Kalliste. Aodh hadn't been flying, his sabre had taken a few knocks, his RT was out of action, and he was getting bored. Bored O'Malleys aren't the easiest people to be around, and he was glad to see Kalliste at the bar, for entertainment's sake, if nothing else.
Pierre LePew, Gallic Obstinate Captaine, walks off the docking point onto the deck. He glances around before heading to one of the locations Silver mentioned he might enjoy. Seeing the sign above the entrance, Pierre grins and walks in. He glaces around, breathing in the smell of a bar like so many others he has been to and heads to the counter.
Barkeep. Give me a glass, whatever the locals drink.
Mounting onto a bar stool, he pulls out a pen and paper notepad and begins to scribble down notes.
While on this assignment, you are my boss madame. If you don't like me calling you that, I can call you something else.
Sighing, he speaks with a monotone, bored voice as if he has done this before.
I've worked for plenty sides of death. This is just another one, which will sooner or later turn to another side. This time it just has a freaking rainbow involved.
Death is the bullet into le vache's head before you farm it's meat.
Pops open his own drink.
I got none I want to share, Madame. They blur together too much after a while. I only know what happens after the combat report is filled out and I am to sign it. I command my ship and crew as I wish and get the job done the best way I think is possible, which may be why I'm put on so many assignments. I don't fit the military flock.
He leans back.
What about you? I can't be arsed reading those papers on your little group here. You're mercs, and I'm being assigned to you because someone upper up doesn't have any balls to do any work himself.
