Not gonna bother with expressing my opinion about every little thing here and there, since it doesn't count for crap anyways. Also I don't feel like re-chewing everything constantly, what I already said in these couple of posts here is what I said.

first of all, @n00bl3t, this thread is not about you and if you take your time, take a few breaths and re read, i did not state anything about all unregistered caps are lolwutters. I can tell by the peeps how they respond and i think i can see when they rp. If you got a childhood trauma of this topic, simply stay out of the thread.
As for the rest, i will have to repeat myself AGAIN that i have nothing against independents, even if n00b here tries to show otherwise. I am again rephrasing the point of this thread that factions should have the power to punish lolwuting dessies, who, even if not braking written rules, are spoiling other people's fun on the server.
when was the last time that you haven t made either a fun thread - or a complaint thread. - freelancer is meant to be fun. - fun in its current state that is. - if it is no fun, constructive critizism can improve it....
when complaining and asking for restrictions or limitations or anything. - always imagine to have it the other way round. if you do like it, then you can make the request.
so if you ask for more power of the factions against non-facitonized players.... would you like non-factionized players to ahve more power over factionized players that are lol-wuting? ( yes, no matter how much that can apply to being appropriate or not - think of the theory )
you assume that a factionized player serves a higher standard - and indeed, he does. you also assume that this higher standard is actually executed by that player, cause he is in a faction. if he does NOT satisfy that standard - he is..... excused?
would the very same restrictions and limitations apply to a factionized player? - if not, why not, what makes him different?
so the question is - should the canon RPers have power over the players that disrupt gameplay? ( note that i haven t mentioned the terms factionized or independent )
now - don t you think THAT that would a FAIR request? no matter if you fly with a faction tag or not, - if you re an idiot and disrupting gameplay, you ll be punished. ( mind, we have an official rule for that actually )
if you just include non-factionized players it has the very air of the guys in the next pub ... that say "i hate those foreigners, - no, not my neighbour, he is cool even if he s foreign - just the rest of them" that means - you do generalize a type of players - and you even go further, you label a group of players to BE a group.
these posts emphasize a line between factionized players and non-factionized players, and isn t that strange that a great bunch of non-factionized players appears to have so many similarities that they ARE bunched up in a group?
thats really like saying, all factionized players are the same! - that means, that the TBH is just like the ROS, like the NLH, like the Keepers, like the Phantom empire, like the LPI, like the LR etc. - both, factionized players and unfactionized players only share one smallest denominator - and its really the "smallest" - one being, they are a faction - the other being, they are not a playerfaction. - and thats about it, really.
but personally i think.... these factions are very different from one another.... so why are the non-factionized players all alike?
its playing around with rethorical terms, yes. - but why is it harder to deal with perpetrators of the laws of good roleplay than dealing with "them all" in general. its really like saying "i know 10 blond people and they re all dumb, - for that i think that all blond people are dumb" its easy to say that - but it doesn t really live up to the facts.

Yes, it would. And that's actually what I do want.
Sheesh.. tell me a time when a member of an official faction did something like camping West Point with a dessie and got away with it? Such actions merit a hard slap from the faction's leader, and if not that, and if such cases happen from an official faction, trust me, it wouldn't remain an official one for much longer.
The gameplay of factions is the one that's most looked upon and judged if they misbehave.
I think we all know that getting officiality isn't a one time deal after which you can forget about satisfying a threshold of gameplay quality.
And if a member of one official faction does something befitting an idiot, by all means, post in that faction's feedback thread, and I swear to God almighty, I'll support you even if one of my own factions is the one being complained against.
I do hate to sounds stereotypical, and I really do try not to, and that's not my intention, but truth be told, most of the disruptive incidents are caused by indie players, and not cause they are indie, but simply cause they heavily outnumber faction characters. It's a question of probability, a game of numbers.
And trust me when I say this, that I despise anyone from any "side" playing the victim and complaining how it's aaaaalways hard for them, and so easy for everyone else.

It's been my experience that another player, faction or not, can interrupt and ruin gameplay in a fighter craft armed with the prototype "Whinger" cannon as much, if not worse, than a cap. But I digress...
If someone, anyone, faction or not, disrputs gameplay, deal with it in game and in RP. There will most likely never, ever, be an announcement on these forums that faction x is now the arbiter of proper use of certain ships. You don't need to be told you have the power to do something that you can do anyway as long as you respect the server rules and the fact that the server is a RP one.
Role play. Lead by example. And carry a squad of bombers in your pocket.
Registration threads don't work. They're too complex. Instead, I'd opt for one of two things:
Admin Intervention for Battleships and some kind of instant-death policy for the RP-less noobs, teleporting them to Bastille where they can sit and read the rules all day.
Complete carte blanche to blow them out of the sky without warning and with overwhelming force. THEN tell them to read the damn rules.
:)

1) do you believe we get better RPers out of it?
2) same as above....
again - disco is NOTHING.... all we have is an amazing playerbase. - the best mod is just rubbish without players, players are the MOST precious thing we got. - we must cultivate them, not scare them away for our own sake. mods like freeworlds are technicaly much more ahead, lightyears even. - but they don t have the most essential thing, they don t have the players. we have, and we should do EVERYTHING possible to keep them.
player decrease is catching. - once it starts, its hard to hold it up. - just like the other way round, when its popular, its easier to attract new ones.
I'm all for the scaring away bits. If they can't figure it out after being blown up a couple of times and being told "READ THE RULES." I think they're probably not going to be worth the time. I'm sick and tired of trying to be friendly to people who just don't care. If they don't get that EMOTICONS ARE BAD after being repeatedly told, then they either need to learn at gunpoint or leave.

When you talk about independents who have not registered their capital ships, then you refer to me.
Then do not. I only take from it what you give.

First of all, I was addressing Swift's post which had my name on it, so all your talk about how I am making it about myself means squat.
If anyone has a childhood trauma of the topic it would be the one who keeps issuing all these reminders and making the thread.

I was talking about players that skim on the passable level of the rules, damaging everyone's fun, generally being idiots, spewing their little pre-recorded engagement notice and then proceeding to kill anything in sight.
Don't play the victim, please, you should know better.
And no, you do not take from it what I give. You make your own conclusions about my opinions, without just reading what's there.
