We are currently in Omicron Delta commencing some crew training. Well, we're here for another reason but the Commander has asked me to keep a lid on it.

Hey all,
Just thought I'd check in all the locations I have. The Peregrine is currently on Gran Canaria, protecting as always. We've found a quiet little valley on the north west continent that's perfect for us to rest on.
Child 1 is currently in Omicron Kappa, protecting and learning. I've found it's good for them all if at least one is out there learning.
Child's 2 and 3, the only ones I trust by themselves for now, along with 1, are both with the Peregrine, as are children 4 through 40. At least they're out of trouble.
No hostiles as usual, Keepers.Telchine was heard on comms a while back, but we couldn't find them. Shame really, the Children almost ripped through the Peregrine's hull in their eagerness to kill it.

Heya, Saker,
Come join Madori and myself at the estate. It's nice and quiet there, the air is crisp and clean and it is oh so comfortable this time of year. We've been out riding caballas and I'm starting to feel like used to years ago.
Drop in if you get the chance.

Hey guys. Just wanted to let you know that I've dropped the name "Precious Mao". I figure, since it's just me in my little interceptor, I don't need my callsign to read off a fancy ship name. You'll see me around as just plain "[TAZ]Charlie.Koskinen" from now on.
On a related note, I met some guy on Pueblo Bonito, got to talking with him, and we got around to discussing the aforementioned name change. He asked me if he could use the name "Precious Mao" for his gunboat, which he had recently acquired, and I said sure. His name was Bernhard something... Originally a Rheinlander, if I had to guess.
So basically, I changed my ship's registry from "[TAZ]Precious.Mao" to "[TAZ]Charlie.Koskinen," and now there's a different guy flying a different boat called "[TAZ]Precious.Mao." That make sense to everyone? Good.
That's all.

Greetings, fellow acolytes. Bernhard Lessens here, reporting that after months of waiting, I have obtained my Conference-class Gunboat and have just finished outfitting it. The crew of the gunboat Precious Mao will respond to any disturbances of TAZ and Zoner interests, and act as a deterrent to excessive violence in Zoner controlled areas.

Heya, Mal.
I had a chat with Gabriel Nokom of the IMG and he wasn't happy. Apparently, two Corsairs by the name of Jose Bertro and Valdes have making the iridium miners a slaughter field. As he said, they destroyed 10 ships and were a constant menace. I realize that the CoZ has a lot of issues on the table and a new chairman needs to be elected but I think this is a serious issue.
He informed me that in the contract signed that the IMG is NOT allowed warships for security. I think that needs to change. We can't be there constantly to monitor the system. It's already a slaughter house so that argument is out the window. If they want to mine, they should be able to provide security.
Commander Matok arrived from Omicron Delta to continue monitoring the system, cutting his training mission short. Anyway, while they were there, one of the two pirates took joy in engaging Matok but left as soon as his weapons came to bear on him.
Even if we don't bring this to the CoZ, they should be able to provide something for security. Wanchu Panchu was also there to see some of the madness going on.
It is getting ugly.. and I'm getting feedback on private channels that the Miners should be allowed at least Bombers and Gunboats in 49 to provide protection.
Another option would be that the Council approves protection to "guests" anywhere in 49. I'm open to that discussion as well, once the Chair is filled again.
You didn't indicate if there were any NFZ violations during the action today, Doc. If there were, then we'd also have a strong case to declare these two idiots as "enemies", and go weps-free until they learn some manners.
Hopefully we can wrap up CoZ elections within a day or two. Hang in there.

Mal,
I don't know whether or not there were any NFZ violations or not. When I initially launched, the two pirates left in a hurry so I can only suspect so. I would like to get a full report from the IMG miners involved. I guess I could go ahead and see about getting one. As I said, I had a very lengthy chat with Mr. Nokom who was visibly angry.
If my opinion matters, I think we should allow them to at least be able to provide some security for themselves. I don't think a gunboat or a bomber or two would hurt.
