Well one thing's for certain, it definately turns faster than all Gunships or bigger (The scorpion Gunboat may be on even terms, i checked the stats) out there, so that's just not an argument.
Best handling of all bombers and pretty compact-sized too. So all i can say it doesn't actually fulfil what the infocard says it does, but i wouldn't call it useless.

So we have two choices at the moment, we change the infocard or we change the stats to reflect its infocard.
Thing is, someone pointed out that the GC aren't a particularly 'heavy' faction. If we have a look at who has Heavy Bombers:
Rheinland
Bretonia
Rogues
..and so on. They have a reputation for being heavy, GC do not.
Feel free to request the infocard gets changed, the current is as requested and approved by the current GC blokes. All I did was make sure it was spiffy and coded.

Dear Zelot, i have flown the Red Cat, yes. And i did not use it often. I also have only flown the .84 Barghest, Praetorian, Roc, Waran, Thor, Bergelmir, Havoc, Basilisk, Cougar, Jaguar, Broadsword, and BH Bomber. So i have no experience with how Bombers should feel like.
I believe some of those in the list are quite bad turners. However, i feel that the Orchid turns worser than a Praetorian, as well as the Jaguar. Now please tell me those two are the best turning Bombers there are. Then i would understand that the Orchid does not turn that bad. However, they are not.
You may say I'm biased with wanting a good bomber for the GC because i'm in the GC. However, you could also say you want the GC to have a bad bomber because you are in the AFA, as Mjolnir is in the KNF.
Yes, my "feelings" are just "feelings" i get from piloting different bombers in a short time period. However, usually my "feelings" are correct.

I dont "want" anyone to have a bad ship, personally I think every fighter should have the same stats as every other fighter, and every bomber should have the same stats as other bomber. Just different skins. My point was for the last year, every time anyone brought up anything about the redcat and the GC's use of it, we were told to screw off. The fact that the Preagle has some bugs, did not make it unusable as based on the fact that at least 2 prominent factions who face similar cap situations as the GC used them exclusively. I think it's ironic how much talk there is from the GC now, about how they need a better ship. It is nice that the AFA have access to the Mamaru and the Black Dragon, and I was not really involved in the design or balance of those ships. I didnt ask for the FA bomber, I was very happy using the Preagle and the Eagle, you wanna know why? Because that is what was in rp for our faction. We use the ships we are given in rp, it doesnt matter wether they are good or bad. Thats my opinion.... my comment was at the irony of the situation.
From my experience i had from my time in the XA, the Roc was only used on rare occassions in group fights, where it made no difference that it was bugged.

I somehow fail to remember ever seeing AFA with the Roc. Instead, i remember some nice Spatials.
For the other record: NLH used some Praetorians last version instead of the Preeaggy. I haven't used the Roc much on my NLH after i failed miserably at some occassions.

Sorry if I got the XA thing wrong, but the AFA used ROC bombers, ask anyone, and I had a spatial for all of a min and a half before I got rid of it, I was playing around with it, not making it an official AFA ship. We used a whole lot of ROC bombers and anyone who says we didnt is lying.

I am not taking necessarily about factions, but an overall, we do see lots of Indy dragon gbs as well as Privateers, BAF, Junker Hessian Cruisers, Bounty Hunters of all stripes. This is not to say the GC dont, or that the GC should have a bad ship, if you'll notice, but instead to ask people to use the ships they are given, people did a lot of work on the balance in this game, and I think their work, despite peoples lack of trust, has proved to be a system with pretty good damn balance.
