Shouldn't it be a toxic waste bomb? MOX pellets are relatively safe to handle until a station or cap ship has had their way with them.

The hypothetical "dirty bomb" doesn't use unspent fuel either. It would probably use caesium-137.

While there are so many ways to deliver MOX, it is used far too often. I think that instead of always saying that MOX was used, we should try to come up with more original idea.

Also, Virus, while the Phantoms are powerful, saying that they are the only ones that can get past the planetary defenses is a little too far. If they were they only ones, then I would think that the Phantoms would have taken over Sirius by now, due to their power.

How about a truckload of deuterium.... it could go nova in the upper atmosphere, sending a huge EMP and crippling the planetry defense systems.

I'm taking notes here, just for reference of course. The lack of caesium-137 as a commercially available
product has been a thorn in our side for ages.
The EMP blast theory could work, though remote detonation would have to be set as anything flying in the
radius would be crippled along with the grid.
I like the 'un-terraforming' approach too, this needs closer scrutiny, and a good target. Sure we can come
up with something out of all these wonderfully gruesome ideas.
