Ah Rob, been a wild ride eh? I can totally understand where your coming from, and your completely right. I am coming at this from the point of someone who recently began giving up leadership in some factions. But, Kogen and Reinhardt have a few things to finish first as well. That and this just means we get to make more money together, as RM doesn't pay as well as merc work.
The RM is an institution here in Disco Dennis, I am sure you are up for it, but you have defiantly been thrust up there with the big boys. Like Joe I will give you a few pieces of faction leadership advice. First, keep it simple, know your rp and stick to it, and everyone in your faction will know theirs and stick to it. Have confidence in your leadership in the RM. From day one you need to walk in there like you own the place...because you do. Remember you have some fantastic members in the RM, lean on them, they can handle it.
Lastly, I guess Gauss's contract has been extended yet again. Everytime I get out, they pull me back in. I may actually have to demand a promotion this time.
Viktor Zirzow, personal log. This is my first report as "Leutnant" Viktor Zirzow. Been a while since I've held this rank. Feels good to be with it again. My last patrol as Admiral was today, I have kept parts of the conversation for their... Sentimental value.
I met Malexa Malte shortly after launching from the Westphalia. We gathered a wing and went on patrol. Up to the Westfalen, and even escorted a RepEx Whale through Omega-7. On our way back, we received reports of possible LWB pirate activity in Stuttgart. Not surprising. Turns out it was none other than Wesley Richter himself, not in his usual Wrath. None-the-less, Herr Steiner and I took on Richter while Malexa Malte took on a second LWB, alone. Richter fell first, and we were ordered to let Malte have a duel with the second LWB. Needless to say, Malte was victorious. Not surprising. I took the opportunity to request my relieve of duty.
Heh. Work does start now, for the lot of us. Ah, *sigh* good luck, Malexa.
Rheinland is what it is today thanks to Virus, or Rob, and I have to say that that alone is a huge achievement. Not to mention the faction itself being one of the most organised, most efficient and possibly one of the most enjoyable to encounter.
It's one faction that I honestly have no complaints about but instead only nice things to say. Considering Discovery as a whole, that's something I would be incredibly proud of.
So yes, thank you and the others in the RM for Rheinland as a whole.
That said, I'm looking forward to what shall come of Rheinland now.
It is the end of an era. But you coul've found no better successor than Malexa. Congratulations to Malexa to your new role of leadership and to Rob for his new won freedom.
I'm sitting here in shock and dismay. No clue you were thinking of leaving Rob. So I'm a bit speechless.
But I understand. It has been my greatest pleasure being in the RM and working with you Rob. Your calm ability to take my endless teasing and verbal abuse has been most excellent.
Dennis, Sergeant Major Pippart will happily serve as pole dancer under your steady leadership. However, no more regens.

' Wrote:Now that all that is said... I am not leaving Discovery or anything silly like that. I am simply reducing my responsibilities so I can be a nutter again and have some fun without having the RM nagging me in the back of my mind. I've run it long enough, I've earned that. I'll be focusing more an Admin stuff (hopefully <_<) so that Del and Hood will get less mad at me. Heh heh...
Also, congratulations to Malexa!
Don't forget to enjoy the game while leading those factions!:)
For the short time I've been here, and the few battles we had shooting eachother. It has been good fighting against Viktor Zirzow, and it'll be an honour to destroy Malte's regimen, and finishing the fascist movement:). Wish you the best of lucks, Malexa.
