It has been revealed by the Red Hessian Congress that their Cruiser the H.S. Rancor left Vogtland just moments ago. Her mission, to carry the banner of the Volk to the very corrupt steps of Rheinland's Kleptocracy.
The H.S. Rancor is under the command of newly promoted Captain OsoRojo. His orders, though classified to the particulars, is to project the Red Hessian presence into the depths of the Kleptocracy. An unnamed official of the Red Hessian Congress stated, "The H.S. Rancor and her commander have been sent to makeup for a lack of an effective rival in Rheinland space. Our attention, of late, has been on the constant conflict in the rim-worlds. However, with the H.S. Rancor, we will show the sector that Rheinland is not the sole preserve of the Kleptocracy."

After forty-eight hours of operation the Red Hessian Congress feels operational secrecy of H.C. Rancor's past actions are moot. Such supposition has led to a policy shift of releasing selected excerpts from H.C. Rancor's logbook:

Congressional representatives have just released news of possible avenues to increase pressure upon the Rheinland Kleptocracy via H.S. Rancor. According to sources, while on patrol, the H.S. Rancor received a garbled message of welcome and information of possible allies, with;
....."When You get into Rheinland...
MAKE SURE that:
1) You get to a Wraith base(Bruschal). They will help you.
2) Meet up with X-Vlad if he is there. He is a good pilot, and can act as your wingman.

Officials refused to reveal source of information, however, H.S. Rancor has been ordered to follow up on lead and make introductions.

Good News, Bad News Combat Maneuvers Successful, 1st engagement with RM a withdraw

After clarifying engagement rules, H.S. Rancor entered Connecticut space for combat maneuvers with (Star Ship) S.S. Warhorse a Rheinland Crusier. Combat ensued for over five minutes and the H.S. Rancor overcame her noble opponent. Cpt.~OsoRojo stated, "S.S. Warhorse was a gracious and honorable opponent. The vessel was handled deftly and with energy. I am fortunate this was an exercise, and I cannot compliment her captain and crew enough."
Upon completion of the combat excerise the H.S. Rancor pulled into Manhattan for shore leave. Shortly upon arriving, however, operations was informed of a sighting of an "elite" vessel in New Berlin. Cpt.~OsoRojo negated all leave and set course to New Berlin.
The H.S. Rancor finally sighted the "elite" BS Bismark at sector C5 and engaged her immediately. The BS Bismark's force included the BS Strausburg (considered a miltia vessel), base defenses, and assorted fighters. Sadly, the H.S. Rancor was forced to withdraw, but not without resistance. A quick comment was given by Cpt.~OsoRojo of, "We were out matched. I knew this going into battle, however, let me state, this was a needed action to gauge all levels of the Kleptocracy's defenses. Our survival indicates the vaulted RM is not unbeatable, nor are they "supermen." However, to take an axiom from antiquity, we must be the David to their Goliath. In essence, we shall be a foil to their club."

According to Red Hessian Congressional sources the supposed "elite" RM is unable to provide needed security for their own homeworld. Proof of such claims come from combat footage provided by the H.S. Rancor, who pursued three vessels after loyalties were announced by the fighter Ang_BOB, who stated, "Im Join Rheinland militari."
The H.S. Rancor engaged the fighter NIK near the Berlin to Dresden jump gate causing major damage, but it escaped in the nearby asteroid field. However, on a good note, the freighter Planet-Express was intercepted in New Berlin orbit and was immediately vaporized by the H.S. Rancor.
Such actions show how inept the complacent and corrupt Kleptocracy has become. They are unwilling or unable to protect their shipping lanes. The Red Hessian Congress has ordered the H.S. Rancor to increase pressure upon such traffic to force a change in the Rheinland repressive regime. In addition, the Congress has given Captain~OsoRojo full powers to pursue cooperation with unaligned organizations to bring more force upon the Kleptocracy.

While surveying the outter-reaches of Rheinland space for possible tatical and strategic advantages, i.e. Jump Holes, allies, etc., the H.S. Rancor stumbled upon an unencrypted RM communication frequency. Compliments were sent and received, however, nothing of true substance was settled in relation to the century long conflict involving those infesting the "Hallowed Halls" of the Kleptocracy.
Captain~OsoRojo of the H.S. Rancor expanded, "Little was gleaned from our conversations in relation to the political conflict. However, regardless of a misplaced sense of loyalty to the Kleptocracy, at another time and under different circumstances it would be an honor to serve with such soldiers. Sadly, we have given our oaths to causes that are diametrically opposed," the Captain continued, "Overall, these back-channel conversations only reinforce my opinion that the only resolution can be had upon the battlefield."

The Red Hessian Congress released today that a Rheinland Battle Ship hulk (RNC Wettersteingebirge), an early victim of the H.S. Rancor, was found and is being repaired for battle. The hulk's precise location was interecepted by agents on an RM intelligence frequency, transcription goes:

Upon completion of all repairs Cpt.~OsoRojo shall take command and is said to have named the new addition after his first love, H.S. Rancor. His previous posting is being transfered to the Rim-world front where her better mobility will be an asset in the rock-filled systems.
