Will do.
' Wrote:Maybe lengthen the nose? It looks too short at the moment.
It is the exact same length as the rest of the BW series. It's probably just the angle.
' Wrote:I just remembered, think you could add in this extra Falcata-bit?
Excellent idea, I'll put that in when I get around to it.
I personally like it. It's definitely what the Borderworlds Bomber should look like - an extension of the previous model.
As for people saying 'it's just a Sabre with stuff on it', why nobody whined about the Roc ? Isn't it just an upscale version of the Eagle? It's a tiny tad bigger, and has two top fins, instead of one, two more engines and the torpedo tubes. But that's about it, and people like it.
Also, I would like to mention that you people need to read the Borderworld Ships infocards. There's nowhere to be said that the Sabre, Stiletto or Dagger are made by outcasts and distributed to whichever factions. They're probably made by various corporations and factions, bearing the same blueprints.

' Wrote:Exactly, a bomber needs to be a bit bigger than the previous ships, so make it bigger than the previous shipline:P
The length and width of the BW ships has remained constant throughout the progression from Light Fighter to Very Heavy fighter, I see no need to change that at all for the bomber. The extra ring along the top will increase the ships' front and side profiles.
The top ring looks fairly funny, at least from this angle. Something needs to be done with it to give it more impact. Think about why the ring would be added in RP- additional engine mounts, powerplant housing, things like that come to mind, but would need to be modeled in some way. Right now it looks incredibly fragile and pointless- perhaps some stabilizers coming down from the top to another location on the ship would help. Up to you of course, but I hope that helps.
If that isn't enough to make it bomber-bulky... perhaps connect the front part to the bottom in another location with some sort of large support beam (which could easily be manipulated to make heavy torpedo mounts more plausible). Something similar to Jamez's idea, but far bulkier and more of a full component than a little support strut.
' Wrote:so right now - epyons model replaces the falcata - no matter how it was propagated, the BW ships are trademarks of the outcast alliance. - you won t see a zoner in a sabre docking with crete and get away with it easily.
So my Bundschuh who hates the Outcasts and flies a Falcata he bought from Eltmann Base now has to have a giant Outcast cross on his ship?
As for this model: this is exactly how the Falcata is 'supposed' to look - great job so far.
