I have seen an increase of pilots in large ships transferring some of their nanobots/Shield batteries whilst in the middle of a battlle to smaller ships who are getting owned.
This is why I believe that their should be a new "Civilian Repair Drone" Ship (Sold on some Freeports) that has a small armor rating (Maybe about 2500-3500 ), a small cargo hold (about 35-45 units), and about 1-2 3/4 class guns. and a large capacity for Nano Bots and shield batteries, maybe around 500-750 depending on how you would want to balance this, that's sole purpose is to transfer "regens" in mid battle, the small guns are for defense (that way it doesn't get owned by NPC's) Anyways this is just a suggestion, because it seems so OORP to transfer those items in mid battle, and honestly, transferring these items should be illegal for anybody but a repair drone.
If im a fleet admiral in my battleship and i see a friendly gunboat getting chopped down by bombers, Ill send him regens because he is a major part of the fleet, Bomber defense.
There is nothing wrong with passing regens to another friendly craft in a fight.
Buuuuutttttt don't forget, the second you do it, you are now part of the fight. It seems a lot of transport captains seem to think that they are untouchable and can do this with no reprisals......
In other words, you can't sit on the sidelines and pass regens and expect to be left alone.
