Very good, it gets the Ancient Race bits across pretty well. I will say that I think it would be nice if the hull were longer and fatter; the big biodome in the back is kind of too big, if you know what I mean, it feels out of proportion; other than that, superb.

Go for it Jinx. Now that the CR has changed their background, the lost 'star is the only remaining bit of Battle star galactica work in the mod. Plus, the design looks rather nice. Good job. :)
Nice model, as always, but it looks too familiar with ships built by humans and not an ancient race. Better try some strange shapes, weird curves, asymmetrics to get a real alien look.

What will i salute at every time I pass Delta?
And aside from my still-not-dead BSG nationalism, metinx that ship would be better off as a Zoner colonization boat.
Your 'Little Shrine' makes no sence what so ever anymore in the modern Discovery days. Why not just get rid of it/replace with something better?
I loved the design. Congratulations! Though, it looks more human design than ancient civilizationish / alienish. Perhaps the texture will change the idea though.
It was my hope/ambition that the LBS and the Venator would be turned into "stations" for events and other select player uses...
That being said, to the model itself... My biggest grievance is that nothing about that ship strikes me as "alien" persay... A little more like hacker gunship gave birth following a confusing orgy with a biodome and an F-18.

i gotta agree. i highly suggest going the "EVE" route, and making this an asymmetrical, unique, one of a kind design. it still has a fl touch to it, nothing so far suggests alien/more advanced than humans about it at the mo. also, for a frigate, thats a rather large biodome, dont you think?
exactly "which" alien race it might have been is unclear... - there are a few hints about alien races.
the zoner juggernaut is derived from a wreck that was found by zoners - or at least thats what it used to be. - that logic was applied to the old model though - and the general idea is carried on. - a roundish "shell" on an enourmous ship.
looking at the vanilla remnants of the DK - the ships that come the very closest to this is..... tadaaa.... the titan. ( remnants are hyperjumpgates and space cities ... both have spikes and very sharp edges. they are somewhat influenced by an air of "ancient but highly evolved civilization" but ancient none the less. - they do look a bit like aztec stuff gone space )
now - what is the lost battlestar? - who knows. - who knows when the DK left. - who knows how many other races found their way to sirius meanwhile.
practicly speaking - the lost battlestar is an oddity and a highly recognizable landmark ( imo - there should be a LOT more landmarks around in disco - telling stories, giving something to "discover" )
modelwise:
i will add non symetrical stuff to it and enlarge the front portion. - it is really too small compared to the dome. - the idea of an asymetrical ship will increase by "breaking" it into half and adding debris as well as snapping some wings.
the texture will do a lot to make it appear non human - or at least non sirius faction. - but when it comes to non human.
look at the dyson sphere and the space city. - the space cities have the size and the look of being easily inhabitable by humans, too. - the dyson sphere ( or for that matter the look from a low orbit onto a planetay surface ) looks like a typical planets surface, lightly inhabited. - matter of fact, ... Leeds looks more alien than the omicron-99 ( or whatever omicron it is ) with its full city coverage.
edit - here is an image of how it ll be broken down into chunks as a wreck
