so lets cover 4+2 houses (screw gallia) and invent a see or something

Edit: Or make the Borderworlds between the houses and the edgeworlds a "see" using fighter squads to pass narrow jumpholes, obviously. we could invent some jumphole stabilizer for the fighters, so the transfer order remains intact if you want to transfer a cap fleet.

Diplomacy is a great game and Russia is the historic victor not England.
That said I've only won as France & Turkey, but I've seen every county win (albeit Austria & Italy were in alliances).
It would be great to play again - on a traditional map :rtfm:& (like Chernobyl) would recommend a move a week.
