Your starscape looks much more like the ingame ones than mine ever turn out to be. I think the dread is a little too blue and a little too saurated. After fixing that, i would also run the Unsharp filter on it.
The outside is a lot crisper than the inside. It isn't necessarily a problem, but I noticed after looking at it for about three seconds. I'm not sure if it would help, but perhaps try a more clean-cut font or reduce the fuzziness around it? Worth a try, I reckon. Nice work, by the way.
On an unrelated note, would someone be so kind as to put some transparency around this little bunny avatar of mine? It looks funny. As for why I have a small bunny as my avatar, see my post in the "sexy/violent avatars etc thread", I'm doing an experiment. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
The text is meant to be slightly fuzzy. Admittedly it does contrast with the rest of the design somewhat, but it's that way to make it blend with the glow. I tried without the inner glow just now and, to be frank, it stands out just a tad too much.
EDIT: I'll render that for you in a second.

Freelancer screenshots tend to have less than desirable graphical results. Shame I can't get the software to run on my computer for rendering ships in high quality. Just a moment and I'll try to up the contrast without making the back of the ship look terribly retarded.

Meh. No matter what I try, the only thing that seems like it may work would be manually cutting out the blurry parts and tweaking them from there, which I just can't be bothered to do right now. Here's with an attempt at contrast with some other stuff thrown in:
Can't say I prefer it.
