My friends are bretonian pilots and yesterday they saw a Kusari Destroyer in Leeds. They had very very very big problems to just hit the Destroyer. After half an hour of the battle the Destroyer cried for help an so another Gunboat came to Leeds an attacked them, too.
They think the Kusari Cap Ships are to small,is it possible to change something there?
I think they are fine (having flown the GB myself for a long while), their agility is a perfect balence for the heavy dreadnought that they have for a battleship. It is the same as the bretonians having heavy GB and a heavy cruiser, while having a medium BS, it gives cap warfare balence.

The Kusari Destroyer has the same powerplant as the Liberty Cruiser, more turrets, better handling and a slightly lower armour (which can really be compensated with a decent armour upgrade).

Of course it also has 1 less main gun.
And the both ships may have the same armor upgrade.
The cruiser forward cannon is powerful, but the damage radius of the energy beam is too slim, making it very hard to aim, especially against gunboats/cruisers. Which leaves you with 7 guns, that you can use properly.

Have you seen the firing arcs on the Kusari Destroyer?
All the turrets can fire forward, but...
If you try firing 90 degrees to each side, backwards, up or down, you will find the arcs very lacking.
The Liberty Cruiser, on the other hand, has much more generous arcs.
The forward gun may be hard to aim with, but it is a punishing weapon.
Bear in mind that both cruisers have the Light Cruiser powerplant.
Putting it this way, against a focussed group of 2 fighters and a bomber, one of which has CDs, your destroyer is likely to be in a lot of trouble. If nobody has a CD however, then good times ensue for the destroyer pilot.
Edit:

Surely the bret gb should be more powerful than it then? NO, it isn't, seems a little off
The Bretonian gunboat is bigger than the Corsair gunboat, isn't it?
