Hilarious. For SRS: It's great, though something seems odd about it. It seems too long. Any comparison?
A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.
... it's one of those ship I truly dislike made by you. Usually it's not bad, but as I said; that pyramide sticking out everywhere makes me think it's some sort of mayan ship...
As things stand, this is miles better than the old one. (Blasted import.)
I'm going to say, "Heck, yes, put this in the next mod release."
I'm not going to say that a better version can't be made.
This ship is good enough to put in, it's better than the old one. It's about 85% acceptable to me. The old one is 4%.
That's a pretty good margin there.
Keep that in perspective.
Yeah, this ship isn't perfect.
But it's pretty dang great.
And yes, Eppy, I noticed the mixture of motifs.
It's frankly brilliant... I like it, and somehow the entire ship seems like it could be the star for some Sci-fi movie.
But it seems a little "not Outcast" to me, again.
I'd just like to remind people that none of the original game developers ever intended for their to be any kind of Borderworlds capship; that said, the entire Outcast shipline is Discovery-made (in fact, Eppy-made, except for the Dreadnought model, which is, of course, an import). The Outcasts don't have a native style; all they have is what we make them and the Borderworlds shipline, which they just happen to employ. I'm making modifications and improvements to the Borderworlds designs, and at the same time creating the Outcast's style. That said, the look I was going for was Borderworlds-based, but significantly more Majestic and Grande. (Emphasis to reflect own ego) I'm trying to emulate what I perceive as the Outcast ego, which is one of egotistical self-importance. The Outcasts have been imagined as a romantic people with a very, very, very high opinion of themselves; thus, I decided a little bit of opulence and grandeur was called for, considerably more than in the pure Borderworlds line, and more than in any other Outcast ship, as this is, after all, the great warship that is the culmination of Outcast society.

The amount of work you have put into this model is crazy though, I honestly feel bad for not liking it.
My major gripe is the 'handle' that it has. The Bridge section is just too low I think and it looks too small. The bars or whatever that connect to it look a bit pointless from a realistic perspective which is grand for Freelancer but also don't really add anything aesthetically, just reminds me of well..a lunchbox.
Those are my thoughts on it anyway.
Personally, I'd like for the current imported Battleship to be redone to be similar to the imported design (The design just looks good as a large capital ship, especially from below) and for the Dreadnaught to be an evolution of it or at least take a host of design elements from it.
So er, I'm somewhat asking for the design to be influenced by the imported Battleship.
Perhaps rip it off and elevate the bridge slightly. You could bring the pyramid further up too, so it is the 'outside' shell of that part of the ship so to speak.
