I was transporting VIPs through outcast lands, and I already paid TWICE that day for safe passage, once just one run before. Then, this impatient fool showed up, totally lack of RP (hey I'm not the only one) and started shootign em because I didn't pay his rediculously high fees, enough to pay 3 normal pirates.
Therefore, after some RP and slightly out of rp negotiations failed, I just F1ed. Hey, don't hold it against me, he was the one who was totally rediculois. I've met many normal pirates who would negotiate, but I will not let my ship be blown to bits just by some pirate with no patience to wait a few minutes for clarification from the goon I paid.
Allright, there should be a rule against that... even if they were different factions. To the best of my knowledge, they were the same. However, even so, 6 mil is way too much. My cargo is worth less than that so I might as well be blown up. Its kinda a formally accepted thing the sum demanded must be less than the cargo worth.
I'm not going to be sanctioned because he broke RP AND was being totally unreasonable.
Oh and I think not cos me thinks I got blown up after all. So no F1 offence there. Or so he claims he killed me when I logged in on an alt to explain. Of course, he wouldn't listen then either.
But I'm glad I did. My cargo was no where near as valuable as his fee.
Also, I believe I have every right to f1 out if the same pirate bunch is trying to get me 3 times within 4 hours.
And if anyones getting sanctioned, its him, not me.
If you F1 you will get sanctioned. If a pirate is demanding an unreasonable amount I think they can get sanctioned, though I wouldnt say 6 mill is a sanctionable amount, so try to work it out in RP. Tell them you dont have that much money, the corporation keeps all the money, or if you work for yourself say it is all tied up in high interest, long term investments or something. If that doesnt work, drop the cargo and keep flying telling the pirate that is all you can offer. If you get blown up, at least you were in RP. Thank goodness for escape pods.

No, you don't. Not at all.
In the least bit.
In the least tiny little bit at all.
Ever.
F1ing is one of the worst things you can do, and if you F1, pirates will begin shoot you on sight if you become known at all for doing it.
Trust me. I'm one, and I keep a KoS F1er list handy.
Your situation is going to get worse and worse.
Alternatives?
Different route.
Hire an escort. How about one Outcast? That would be cheaper than multiple fines, because Outcasts wouldn't shoot a trader one of their own is escorting.
Hire an escort of friendly ship that aren't hostile to Outcasts. Hire some Zoner caps or something.
Just...
Don't F1.
There's other ways around stupidity.
That may be a temporary solution, but it's going to hurt you in the end.
Either via sanctions or pirates hating you more and more as you become known for mounting a cloaking device on a ship too small.
And as long as we're talking about "RP" here...
What in blue blazes are you doing, taking VIPs through Outcast Territory!?
I doubt they'd pay for your services if they knew you'd take a route like that.

I did try to sort it out in RP but he would have none of it. i even tried to tell him who I paid already. (or maybe the name was incorrect but I did pay for passage and as a bonus safe escort through the system from one of them)
While his remarks may seem to be in rp to him, they were very fake and as good as someone flying a battleship saying I stole it (or so someone criticising my plan to free up BSes said).
Also, I have never seen such an unreasonable, impatient and rude pirate in my entire life of playing freelancer, on this server or otherwise.
And since I got blown up BEFORE I F1ed or at least so he said, I should not be liable for F1 offences, thogh even if what he said was false (never looked closely), given these circumstances I expect to be let off. Anyone would.
And who says I was not carrying OUTCAST vips?
EDIT FOR THE POST ABOVE:
I did hire an OUTCAST escort on the earlier run, expected to be let off for the day.
However, that was NOT the case. And this was a big liberty transport if you are talking about cloaking devices.
However, whatever it is, even if I am wrong, he was being damn unreasonable.
Since you travel on a dangerous route that is infested with pirate scum, why didn't you hire escorts? You could probably get two or three good escorts for less money than you're paying to the pirates.
While it is true that 6 mil is on the high side, it is not totally unreasonable and you could afford to pay it. Alternatively you could have tried to escape (and die) and then place a 6 mil bounty on the pirate's worthless carcass.
F1'ing to get out of an encounter makes it no fun for anyone.
