Subject: Temporary Resignation
(//In Real Life, my brothers had re-formatted the computer for faster gameplay. Now I have lost the accounts I had, and now have to start from scratch... But that doesn't mean I can't roleplay bout it:D)
*The video feed comes alive, and the first image that can be seen is a man wearing a sad look that seems he was crying for hours before initiating the message. His background is that of the Medical Center Lobby, and by the looks of it is in Planet Erie.*
.....I.....
...*sigh*... Okay...
My fellowmen and women of the Liberty Navy... It has come with great saddness and dishonor that I... have to resign from the Liberty Navy...
There... I said it... It's not that I was forced to deport or anything...
It is merely of a personal matter...
Whether or not any of you guys have noticed, I wasn't doing any trading services, nor was I anymore active in daily patrols for the past week...
The fact is... My crew and I, while we were about to launch on our usual trading, were engaged on foot by 6 thugs. There was so much going on that I couldn't remember much...
What I can recall was that we were dueling in my estate... The thugs, armed with strange, blue translucent heavy-arms, were trying to kill me, my crew and my maid. The weapons they used were somewhat of Nomad-technology, and instantly defeated my estate's tachyon-defense mechanisms...
We won of course, but we paid a heavy price for the skirmish... It lasted for a whole day, and it left much of my home in shambles. The estimated costs for repairing it would take millions of credits...
But that wasn't the end of the story...
Most of us came out with only mild second-degree burns from their short-misses, but one of us wasn't so lucky... During the fighting, Mila was seriously injured in fatal areas, particularly suffering from third-degree burns and deep lacerations on her left abdomen and right leg, while suffering from a mild concussion on her head from falling debris.
We immediately took her to the Planet Erie Medical Center to heal her wounds. The doctor said her wounds limited her chances for survival to a desperate 25%, and even if she did survive, would possibly amount to millions of credits for health rehabilitation. Nevertheless I took the risk...
I waited for an agonizing 3 days for the surgery. While I waited, I had a talk with my other two crew members of the LNT-Vagabond, Faye and Mark... Apparently, at this rate of spending I would have to sell my Guardian and Mammoth to pay for the damages and the hospital bills. We finally agreed that they needed to go, and so we parted ways on the 2nd day...
I came to finally hear that Mila would survive the operation, but the final bill came at 10M credits to pay for the surgery and 10M too for the Rehab that she would take, but I was be assured that the rehab costs would cover all the necessary services, like a place to heal, food and other forms of treatment like entertainment... However, he also said the rehab time might be many weeks, perhaps even months.
Now I only have 8,500 Credits and that Starflier in the backup hanger of my estate.
I'm not saying that I am quitting the LN... I'm just flat broke to go on serving Liberty to my fullest potential...
I am sorry once again... The LN have been good to me, and is this how I repay them back? *sigh* *He then punches the wall beside him in a frustrated manner*...
... God speed ladies and gentlemen... and may the force be with you all...

This is recruit John Tyin, signing in with a few things to report on my progress within the Liberty Navy so far. I feel I have settled in with members of the Navy very well. Recently I flown in formation with a Tom Preage. Several things to report from the patrol we conducted:
A Rheinland Battleship was spotted somewhere in the Texas system, are original plan was to monitor its movements so we could make Liberty aware and keep them out of danger, however we didn't know its exact location and a smuggler stumbled across our path who we directly pursued.
A Rheinland scout was spotted also by the Texas jump gate in the New York system. This was engaged and sadly a few ships were lost. I'm not sure of the final outcome of the battle but I'm sure we won or the pilot fled in fear.
I also stopped a transport ship carrying four thousand off units of counterfeit software, I immediately requested this cargo was jettisoned and swiftly escorted him out of the system. Thats four thousand odd units of contraband that will not add to the crime already present in Liberty space.

Sender:Willows, Sarah - Commodore Recipients:All Liberty Forces, especially Lieutenant Commander Casero, Lieutenant Commander Malrone and Recruit Tigre
Well, seems like you've been busy lately, gentlemen.
Your reports have been looked through and everything seems in order.
Good work out there.
As for the Junker vessels "SilverPhoenix" and "Phase" mentioned by Lieutenant Commander Casero in his latest report...
We will investigate in this matter, but until that's done everyone is authorized to use lethal force against those.
Knowing the Congress, this might take a while and, frankly people, I'm not interested in more paperwork.
Especially not any of the fruitless kind.
So in short: Your orders are to treat them like you would treat every other criminal until the case's closed.
We're not going to lose more ships to those two just because they fly under the Junker flag. Attacks against the law can not, and will not be tolerated.
It's that simple.
To Lieutenant Commander Malrone:Your commendation for the crew of the Leopard has been noted and will be forwarded to Admiral Hale.
On another note, it's good to see that all our forces can rely on eachother in situations like that one.
And don't worry about the report coming in late. We'll let it slide.
To Recruit Tigre:I'm sorry to hear of the misfortune of you and your crew, especially Miss Mila.
Since the investigation of that case is not in our hands, there is little that we can do.
However, you are still a member of the Liberty Navy in my eyes, and the Liberty Navy takes care of its members.
I have forwarded your message to the High Command, and if there is anything you think the Liberty Navy can do, please contact us.
Also, you are not dismissed from our ranks as you are in no way responsible for that incident.
You are moved to the Navy reserve instead for the time being.
My day report spanning several days is as follows:
I joined up with Commodore Robinson along with Vice Admiral Willows on a patrol. While they were in Texas scanning the system, I stumbled upon a Xeno named Ringneck who had the audacity to try to attack traders right in front of me. With my warnings ignored, his bomber slowly fell to my magma cannons until a freelancer joined the fight. Although his help was appreciated, he was quickly killed. Again, the xeno and I fought until an outcast arrived. The Xeno concentrated his efforts on the Outcast and he soon fell. Ageria ships also began creeping in from Pueblo, however they were called off. The Xeno soon fled and the threat was gone.
With the Xeno gone, Commodore Robinson and Vice Admiral Willows requested my assistance with an outcast gunship, Werewolf, and another possible fighter with hostile intentions on the Riverside-New York jumpgate in California. Luckily, the fight had not started during my absence. With the pirate ignoring the orders to leave the area, a fight was inevitable. The gunship Eddie Cassidy was destroyed after constant barrages of weapons from our three fighters. The Werewolf fighter was also destroyed after his friend met destruction. With all hostiles destroyed, we continued patrol back to Manhattan.
On a later date, while responding to a distress signal from Admiral Hale, we found |Rogue|The_Makiaveli, Solari, VR-Unit.Aurora[G] attacking the West Point-Manhattan tradelane. More support came afterwards, however my guncam was unable to capture the images so my apologizes.
The pirates were destroyed soon after our support arrived.
On a final note, there were some situations where words have saved me from being engaged by pirates with odds unfavorable to me. After this, I'm sure we can try to persuade our enemies before we fight? Words are sometimes more powerful than our weapons.

I got a call from the emergency channel, that a zoner carrier was threating our forces in pennsylvania. I was heading that direction in the Upholder, but Commander Anderson told me to stay in New York, and assist the LPI with a corsair whom was grumbling around.
Around Manhattan's orbit, I saw the motive why the corsair was grumbling, a Royal Navy gunboat was in orbit to Manhattan, in a suposed "mission of peace". Quickly enough, we warned the Royalist to get out of Liberty inmediately, or we'll destroy that puny gunboat.
While we were "advicing" the Royalist, a Gateway transport started firing on it, a few seconds after that, the Corsair fired on him too. In a matter of seconds the situation turned from "mission of peace" to "Kill the gallic". I managed to convince the gateway transport to stand down. And the corsair was destroyed by our forces. Soon, after that, the ROyalist accepted our advice, and left Liberty.
Resuming patrols, while I was passing through West Point, I got a distress call from the LNS-Brookstone. Apparently, 3 pirate bombers were attacking it at Fort Bush. By the time I got there, the LPI was already backing up the Brookstone. The pirates focused on me instead of the Brookstone, so the Siege cruiser got time to repair its shield.
One of the pirates got destroyed by Brookstone guns, a second pirate (Polaris) was jousting me, and (I still don't know how) I managed to place a SNAC on him. The third pirate fleed from the battle. And, I got back to my chamber to get some sleep.

Regarding: Flamming.Bess
Flamming.Bess is a Zoner Carrier that entered into Liberty Space without permission from any Liberty government official. I was ordered by Lt. Commander Marlone to intercept and stop Bess for questioning. I ordered Bess to stop and he disregarded my order and keep on going. In the Pennsylvania system I stopped Bess. When I stopped him, he opened fire in my ship. At that point he cruised away. I got up to him and stopped him he opened fire once again. We reached a Zoner base in Penn, and he ordered me to stop firing
Marlone arrived and questioned him He refused to answer. While in that he opened fire on Jimmy Patterson. That is what put him over the line. We all attacked and took him out.
LNS - Aurora and I found him again in Liberty. We tried to escort him out of the Liberty sector by order of Marlone. He did refuse once again and we was taken down again

A very busy and eventful shift today; Pirates, Battleships and even Phantoms.
>Rogues in California
My shift started with two rogues being sighting in California. Although I hadn't received any reports of pirating or other illegal activities, both rogues had prisoners in their cargo holds. AscendantLight gave up the hostages immediately, however LR-Stow.It refused to transfer two VIP's over to my hold. After giving him the silent treatment, the rogue quickly saw I was not fooling around and handed over all of the hostages.
Although Flaming.Bess violated numerous laws, disobeyed orders and personally refused to answer any of my questions, I believe if a member of High Command sat the arrogant Captain down and told him whats-what, he would learn from his grievous mistake.
As such, I disapprove of the KoS order and will not enforce it unless lives are in danger. Another enemy is something Liberty does not want at this time.
>Hostage-Takers
While en-route to meet up with the Brookstone in Pennsylvannia, I came across two Rogues who had downed the lanes in the Badlands. Fearing the Brookstone's safety, I ignored them and took guncam images of their holds for proof of their illegal activities.
When returning from the Zoner incident, I encountered the second hostage-taker, Bunting.&.Blagging.Inc. He was already pirating a trader in Pennsylvania and I took it upon myself to neutralise the threat. Guardian.059 assisted with the ship's destruction.
The Gateway Captain that disobeyed direct orders to cease fire on the Gallic gunboat was Gateway)Skipsea and the Corsair mentioned was Cristobal.Cortez.
When returning from Norfolk, piloting my bomber once again, I noticed an unusual signature on the sensors. I went to investigate and found the target, Hemat had numerous civilian, Police and Navy hostages on board. I attempted to close in, but it was no use - He was already too far into the Badlands and I was forced to discontinue my pursuit.
Whilst patrolling Texas, I came across an Interspace Captain who was headed to Colorado. The comms were buzzing with reports of pirates left right and center, so I thought it prudent to make sure the shipment of Alloys got to Pueblo safely. I escorted the ICT-112.Captain to Pueblo with no incidents.
Spero, a known Outcast, was spotted by the Brookstone nearing West Point. Fortunately, I was nearby and proceeded to assist the Captain in stopping him. At first he refused, however he soon saw he was outgunned and was in no position to bargain. I ordered Capt. Kinney to escort the Outcast to the border of California. The Captain misunderstood me and only escorted him to the jumpgate to California.
Knowing Spero wasn't going to simply leave Liberty of his own accord, I quickly moved to California to give him a nudge out. However, I immediately received a mayday from a ship at Mojave - He was under attack from a pirate. I moved out and engaged the pirate on sight. Within thirty seconds of weapons fire, he succumb to a SuperNova shot.
>Phantoms
After taking a lunch break, I came back only to find two Phantoms causing a ruckus at West Point. Both had already destroyed several lawful craft - I attempted to arrest the one known as Dark_Blossom, but it didn't respond nicely to it. That one and Gloom continued to engage a Bounty Hunter who was fighting a losing battle. I decided to engage them in the best interests of Liberty.
The scuffle got interrupted by a massive ion storm that blacked out everyone's ships. After it passed, the ions left a magnetic imprint on my reactor, which scrambled both the enemies targeting systems as well as my own. My only option was to dock and let backup take care of them. As I'm writing this report, they are still in New York, only hiding in the shadows.
Gloom., Dark_Blossom --PHANTOMS-- --STILL AT LARGE--
>Commendations
Although Captain Kinney did misunderstand my orders for the escort of Spero out of New York, he did quite well in pursuing the Zoner battleship who disobeyed orders on numerous occasions. Well done, Captain, try to better understand orders in the future and we'll get along just fine.
I agree with Lieutenant Commander Malrone regarding our policy on Flaming Bess and her captain. I also do not believe a KoS is necessary. With most of our forces combating the Rheinlanders out in the borders and LPI focused on ridding Liberty of smugglers and thugs, I don't think adding a Zoner Battleship would help. I do believe alongside Malrone that the Captain will need to be checked up on our policy concerning foreign battleships. Also, I recommend a transmission be sent to the Zoner council to see if this ship was ever authorized.
