No, I don't think there's any good reason to. I think players should be able to either start as neutral to everyone, or having the ability to select a faction reputation through a command, -once- in the lifetime of a character.

Why would The Order be hostile to new characters? They were founded to protect the human race from the Nomads, not kill people just because they're new

I honestly do not know what the situation with Order's secrecy RP is at the moment.
If it's still hush hush, and all, they actually should be.
I find it unnerving to see traders docking on Toledo like it's nothing.
It seems that the RP today and the general opinions of the server are that the Order is not secret in any way. Everyone knows who they are and what they do.
I find that a bit odd, personally, that chain of events is illogical to me.
How it all came from what it was in 801 to what it is now, beats me.
I think they should be.

I fully agree with Swift on this one,it's ridiculous how many traders and none Order ships comes to Toledo and passes through Minor,it's like freaking Highway, everyone goes through Minor,I believe main problem is that Alaska and Minor are the quickest way to reach Delta and rest of Omicrons,so if Nephtys's patrols in Minor would be hostile to everyone maybe there wouldn't be such traffic.
In another hand,Order is meant to protect human kind,so it would be a bit odd if it would be hostile to everyone.
