' Wrote:I found the ending to be rather disappointing... I wish the game was twice as long and followed the war up until at least launching the Sleeper Ships, preferably following the war right up until the last stand on Pluto. It's a pity we probably won't ever see a Starlancer 2...
It took me so long to finish the final mission. All my rippers kept dying before they planted their charges >_>
I so wish they would do that. I loved Starlancer so much. I wasn't keen on the last two missions, but, the one before those...
Oh, yes, you're going down, Petrov. You and your Black Guard are finished. My Patriot (Favorite ship :ylove:) will make sure of that.
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.
' Wrote:I couldn't get past the STUPID mission where you have to defend the capital ship from all of the Commies attacking it... Must have done it 300 times.
I hate my life.
I'm sorry which mission was that? There were about half a dozen missions like that.
I would also like to point out that there is absolutely no evidence to support the Coalition=communist theory, unless you use the Russian=communist equation.
EDIT:Oh, save for the pilots using the term "Comrade"

ANY game where one side uses the term "Comrade" to refer to people means that there's communism in it. If they put that in, it's a blatant attempt to go, "LOOK! Communists!"
Yes, gravedig, I know, but I don't think it'll do any harm and I have some questions.
Ok, I actually managed to get Starlancer (don't worry, even though I knew the ending, if was still REALLY fun) and I managed to get to the end, but like I said, I have some questions.
Everyone seems to think that the People's Republic of China was in the Coalition, but I have found no evidence to support this. Yes, right now it is communist, but by the year 2160, they could've had a revolution and established democracy and capitalism. Judging by news reports in the game and the accents and names of the Coalition pilots/ships, we can easily say Russia, the Middle East, and North Korea (I swear, I heard someone say "We got Koreans incoming!") were in the Coalition. However, no one has a Chinese accent or Chinese names. The only thing that seems to point to China is the dragon in the Coalition symbol and a squadron called the Golden Warriors with some guy named Red Dragon as the squadron leader. However, dragons are in every culture, so China may not be in the Coalition.
Also, remember the big TV in the ANS Yamato briefing room? Despite being a Japanese ship, there was Chinese (yes, Chinese) writing on the sides of the TV. Therefore, I am starting to think that China had become democratic/capitalist and joined Japan in the Alliance.
So, where is the evidence that's making you guys think China was in the Coalition?
And also, to answer your question Johann, the Coalition is shown to be communist by their ships and their dialogues. The pilots call each other comrades and their ships have big red communist stars on them. If those don't scream "COMMUNISM!!!!!" then I don't know what does.
On a side note, I am thinking of writing some Starlancer fanfiction that deals with the War of Sol in its entirety. Maybe I'll put in two endings with a Coalition victory leading to the events in Freelancer and an Alliance victory and wing it from there.
