People do this kinda stuff all the time. How do you think the LN feel when every pirate and their little dog come to liberty and "blow up westpoint" or bomb Manhattan?
RP evolves quickly, sometimes people get left behind/forgotten.
Had you known more in advance... would you have said no? this cannot be done?
Iâll carry this flag
To the grave if I must
Because itâs flag that I love
And a flag that I trust
This is getting a little silly, with the mass attacks against the freeport. Why FP11? Why not Dabadoru? Why would the Nomads pick the peaceful (But actually defended by Juggernauts) place, when they could instead target a group of people (The BHG or Order) determined to exterminate them?
At the same time, I don't blame Zach, as I know what it's like to log on, and fine a dozen people all start hunting for you...
This all is getting a vexing, to be perfectly honest.
Yes, I agree that it is good to have activity in the Omicrons, but this is bordering the point of ludicrousness. This is an RP server, and this sort of environment is not very conducive to RP at all.
My Order character is my most RP-intensive one, I don't get a lot of RP nowadays, what with this combat-intensive environment.
Yes RP develops fast, but a handful of folks deciding what is going to happen with and entire faction that they are not really part of is really wrong. How may folks were involved in this RP? The zoner community was not consulted. Heck it most likely would have been fine if we just had a heads up. But now a few get to dictate the RP to many. I thought that was against the rules.
Seth also has a good point, why the Zoners? there are 3 other factions that roam Delta. No offense but this whole thing smacks of power gaming to advance the RP of a few at the sacrifice of many,

Peaceful it may be for some humans, but certainly not so for the Nomads considering the geopolitical position of the station with everything that comes out of it (controlling long range scanners, re-fueling base, et cetera), quite naturally they got their own reasons, and you would easily understand them if you'd taken a single moment to think from their side. Would you just sit down and let your enemies scan you from afar, to let them know of your fleet movements and so forth? I bet not. It's a closest base to Iota jumphole also. Think strategically within the roleplay. Because to understand their motives you have to abstract from your other characters (zoners, bhg, corsairs, order, etc) and try imagine how would you act on the Nomads' side considering their and their enemies geographical position, relevant military powers, short and long term goals, how they are affected and how can it progress them. Because most people try to rationalize or explain behavior of the various factions not from said factions characters but from a foreign viewpoint, which not necessarily may match theirs.
As far as I am concerned there is no RP dictation happened yet. Just some high pitched emotional overreaction and forks thrown completely unnecessarily around.
Seth has a point...by attacking the Freeport, you unite everyone against you...I could see Order/Corsairs ignoring an attack on Dabadoru and vice versa for an attack on Yaren...even in actual player terms, within the game. Attacks on the Freeport just end up with a huge BHG/Order/Corsair/Zoner/I-happen-to-be-in-the-vicinity-merc group, and the sheer number of fighters/bombers those people can muster can blow a hole in practically anything...
It's kinda got to the point that Order don't shoot Hunters, any more...we're all too busy shooting Nomads...

Yes, it does in fact make sense in RP.
But it is not especially healthy when if comes to the actual effect on gameplay.
Actually, when Keepers were attacking, after the fleets acknowledged that a Keeper attack will happen in Delta, I had reports of BHG attacking Toledo as well. So, perhaps the Order may not be so willing to go there and co-operate while its being stabbed at the back.
About FP 11, what makes you think that it is the *only* target?
About the initial dialogue going on here, I have no comment since I have no idea of the dialog tree or stuff.

Oh, what, you mean like the entire Zoner community? The largest bloody player base on the server?
Keepers attack a base repeatedly without creating an event thread on the forum.
And they're attacking the base instead of focusing on killing the players.
Put two and two together and it doesn't take long to figure out what's going on here.
Somebody is RPing to get that base destroyed and I'm assuming that if an elite faction like the Keepers are doing it (who know well about Event protocols on the forum), then somebody "at the top" has made a certain decision.
Which pisses me off royaly.
What the hell is the bloody point of community roleplay if a few key players are making Discovery their personal sandbox?
