couple days ago, i joined another server for a rainy day whenever this one is down, A guy there helped me out with few mills to get my basic ship setup. Then he asked for money on this server. I have plenty so i handed him a generous 240m for a cruiser (same faction as me). Now i try to send him a pm.. "ERR charname does not exist"
Its not the money i care about, its the fact that he lied. He lied for what? 3 days of gameplay?
I've seen this situation myself. Anyone remember Space Mushroom and the start of the UoG? I spent hours trading with him before he turned into what he became.
That said, I wouldn't hesitate to give anyone else the same kind of help. You never really know what they'll turn out like.
Whenever I am on, I give 2 million credits to any players under level 30. The problem is :Why should these new people who just started get more money than those who play for much longer?: However, sometimes those I give money to help other new players.
EDIT: Meh, this is jibberish.
Just don't give noobs money full stop. Most of us here started life on disco without anything except the 8,500 creds that you get when start a new char. I tend to just either ignore the nub asking for money, ask him for money (gets pretty funny) or just act like the server grouch and tell him to stop begging and earn his money a decent way.
