I'm finally deciding to return to Discovery after a LONG absence from my getting REALLY Pissed that I lost everything when I had taken a break.
But now that 4.85 is out I figure I'll start playing again.
What do I need to know about getting myself oriented again in Discovery? Downloading the mod, running it, significant changes, other stuff.
Also, I'm wondering if 4.85 is a whole new server (everyone had to restart) or if it was just an add-on.
Just another update. We've all got our stuff yet. We also got a server monkey named Cannon.
Also, I remember you.
Welcome back!

They completely revamped the trade system, there's a whole bunch of profitable routes now. Which one(s) you do will depend on what faction your trader(s) join.
A popular (and fairly obvious) one is Slaves to Malta, Cardamine to Manhattanish area (haven't done this one myself, it shows)
As for the others... hate to say it, but go discover;)

Simply put, Xoria says that Profit levels Equivelent to DIamon-Niobium were never made to exist.
I DO run a trading faction tho,With some farily profitable runs. Most "RUNS" are now circuts, and robotics components are the key to swithching between circuts. But i digress....
A fairly profitable one is Robotics componetns from Newark- Toronto station, platinum to Thames-Mining machinery-BS hood- Gold- FOrt bush- consumer goods newark.
I also have 5 ish runs for synth foods, Cause i have to for running the faction
So what then is a good lawful route that profits both to and from? Also, is there a better lawful transport than the Adv train? And is there still the Viper MkII?
Also, where can I find a list of the ships info like in the readme from 4.84?

1) It's a secret. (actually, someone will prolly PM it to you, other than that you can always just ask in game or watch other traders)
But here is a beginner route that the angels (of which I am a member) hand out:
