I thought I'd better post here just to clear some things up.
Recently I joined the OPG. So now I'm playing as a Corsair, learning the ropes and etc.
@ Nighthawk:
I hope you took my initiated RP the other day ok? In reality I'm a nice guy. My Corsair isn't so nice. Let me know if I came across too harsh or whatever.
@ Disco:
Some of you might be confused about what has happened, or is happening.
I'd like to clear up some things that I've heard via skype and other places where grumblings happen.
Firstly, Gentle (out of roleplay) invited me into the OPG. I thought for awhile and eventually said yes. Secondly, I'm still learning what a Corsair does and how they act. As far as I know I've been in appropriate character. Thirdly,I did not go to Liberty as a corsair - I wanted to clear that up specifically. As far as I know I've not broken any rules. The only thing I possibly should not have done is initiate contact from Omicron Gamma to New York, on the premise that the comm systems might not go that far, however that's a small point. I contacted LR-Nervous.Energy (which I later found out was Nighthawk), for some empty Corsair/Liberty Rogue blustering. They are listed on the Corsairs infocard as the enemies. I was surprised when the log appeared on the forums.
I also initiated this after I was rank 55 with a full Corsair ID, Rep and ship etc. I don't know where the "rank 5 rumour" came from but that is incorrect.
Fourthly, I was not, and am still not aware of any treaty that is on with the Liberty Rogues between the Corsairs. If there is one please let me know. It might not change my play, but I'll take it into consideration. At the moment my corsair does not know of any treaty and will act as such. Fifthly, From that potential mistake of contacting the Rogue, an RP opportunity has arisen to do some inter-corsair horn-locking. Gentle and I have a story brewing, one that we thought would be fun to do and share with the Disco community. Sixthly, Sparta has levied a KoS on the [OPG]Touched.Gently. Go to it!
I hope this clears things up. Let the comments begin.
Castro from the [OPG]Touched.Gently out.

There -is- a sort of neutrality: we and the Lane Hackers fully control Liberty artefact commerce, even though they only are very small parts of our total profits, since we need to pass by the Hogoshas first. Some things might be developped later.
-Corsair smugglers are to be considered NEUTRAL along with their escorts. I -think- smugglers can dock on our bases, but if I'm wrong, get to a Junker base.
-No Corsair military (Not even LFs) vessels can enter Rogue space. Freelancers/Mercenaries with Corsair tech can fly in our space, but cannot dock on our bases.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, LRs.
That's the first I've heard of the "fully control" liberty artifact commerce. I think you're forgetting the Junkers. Is there any background forum info? Have corsairs been told to be neutral to Rogues somewhere I haven't yet read?
The other two points are valid and have been understood from the beginning.:)(except for the landing on Rogue bases. My character will not do that.)

Lane Hackers control about 75% of Artefacts going into Liberty as they have a contract with the Hogoshans, Rogues have about 15% of the market, and the rest is to the independant smugglers.
It is safe to assume that Artefact commerce is the main income of the hackers, while Cardi's the Rogue domain.

I presume they've devised a way by which to make this arrangement hidden from the Outcasts?
Corsairs are too far of our way to be our enemies, and to be honest so long as they don't mess with our profiteering the Rogues don't give a damn about the Outcast/Corsair war. The Hackers might be different, as they seem to be a more terroristic movement than the Rogues and significantly closer to their Outcast masters.

The Hackers -still- have a contract with the Hogoshans.
Regardless, there is one thing to note. If the Corsairs do invade Liberty, they will lose any premise of neutrality with any unlawfuls in the area, not to mention the lawfuls. Not only will they be forced to take the long way through another house (Order sure as hell ain't giving them access to Alaska so they can potentially slaughter innocents), but they will have to face the combined might of the Outcasts, Liberty Navy, Liberty Police, LSF, Lane Hackers, Liberty Rogues and Xeno. They will receive no help from the Junkers, and the Corporations will very likely join in the slaughter themselves. The above factions are by no means one big happy family, but Liberty is theirs to share, and while none of the unlawfuls are willing to try and take on the Navy and seize control of the House (Mostly because they don't want/need to), they will recognize the potential danger of such an invasion from an outsider.
No-one is talking about Corsairs invading Liberty. Put that thought out of your head right now. Let's stop the jumping on arms because of an in RP blustering threat.
Let me repeat. Corsairs are not invading Liberty. (Not that I'm aware of anyway.)
Stick to the topic of [OPG]Touched.Gently please.

Quite frankly, I heard about the boot you got firsthand, and I wasn't sure if it was the best measure, as every insult you threw out was totally in RP.
I can also vouch for Hyung being a nice person IRL, as he was one of the reasons I stuck around in the Keepers despite the fact that I was having a very difficult time RPing mine and did not enjoy it.
I had a good few 5AM flight time sessions with ya, and even though I've since left the Collective of Blue Squishies, I'll be your wingman any day.
