How to find who to hunt on the player list

I'm having some trouble on my Freelancer, I have the ship all set out and ready to roll but I have no idea how to sort who is and isn't a pirate from the player list.

Has anyone actually figured out a way to sort people on the player list into groups from the information given there?

That is still metagame, but as the usual hypocrites of Discovery goes: "I don't metagame, everyone else does, but I never do it!"

We all frickin' metagame to a certain degree, the only thing that differ is how much we do it.

Edit: I believe metagaming to be the use of information you as a person have, when your character has no business knowing what you know.

I don't know if that is the textbook definition, however.

I use Datastorm, FL Companion and some other fancy stuff.

I always used the player list before.

But at least I don't lie about it. That is all I have to say on that matter.

Well *sweetpea*...this is exactly the reason *syrupy voice*
why you now cannot tell who to hunt.

We pirates/traders got sick of *honey lips* like yourself
hunting based on a players name. It's why indies
like myself named as BIG.DOG or BLUEBEARD when
I am in a itty bitty trading ship.

Or a pirate going around like LILLY.FLOWER.
