It was another day, of patroling the ever crime infested system known as Texas. Having made a pit stop to pick up a new officer to the LS. Lt. Viper. On our way to the Texas Jump Gate we were jumped by a mix of Outcast and Rouge fighters. We easily fended them off, with little or no damage to either of us. although this was the firsst combat experience of Lt. Viper. he kept his cool and took out a pair of enemy fighters. While i took out another three. the rest were able to flee with what was left of their ships and their lives into the badlands. We would have pursued them had we not been needed elsewhere.
On the other side of the jump gate, all seemed normal, but also seemed out of place, there was no ships at all when we entered the Texas system. Which made me wonder and worried that somethig was to go down. And to my amazment a small group of outcast fighters attacked us midway towards planet Houston. This time the enemy didnt stay that long for us to inflict much damage on them. Viper and i were only able to take out one outcast ship a piece. As we reached Planet houston, we diverted to the Battleship Mississippi, where we were to refuel and rearm, for our patrol.
Once we re-fueld and re0armed, we had recieved word that a bunch of xenos, and started to build a base in the southern part of the system between the two trade lanes, and we were tasked to take it out and any resistence. Thankfully we have the Sigma 15 Fighter Squadron backing us up on this mission. When we reached the position of the xeno "base" it was swarming with enemy fighters. We were easily out numbered 3 to 1, but not outgunned. and thankfully four traing helped bring victory against theis troublesome foe. But as we were mopping up the operation, Lt. Viper had spotted a couple of xenos leaving the battlefiled. Viper and i gave chase as i knew the 15th could handle it from here.
we had traced the xeno ships to the hudson system, where we had caught them in the middle of a trade of cardimine with some unioners. we engaged the combined xeno/uniion fighter group. the xeno fighters fell down like flies due to there previous damage from the battle in the texas system. in the heat of battle, i came to realize that the unioners had left very discrelty, and the xenos can given them cover for their escape (it was very odd to see them copperate like this). once we took care of the remaning xeno fighters, we gave chase to the hamburg system, where we lost pertious time getting clearence to enter rhineland space, but once there, we had to go the Battleship Westfalen to rearm and refuel. There the captian of the Westfallen told us where the unioners were heading, but they were not able to lend a hand because of the recent terrioist attack in the New Berlin system from a terrorist named Arch-Angel.
As we headed towards the coordinates that the captian was kind enough to give, which took us towards Planet Hamburg, we were amused by the same unioners,, and they had brought some of there friends along too. Before Viper and i knew what was going on we were being attacked by 12 uniorer fighters. But lcuky for us the unioner ships werent well built and fell easily to our superior weapons and skill. Once the last unioner fight was dispatched, we destroyed the cardimine and tractored the pirate pilots that were lucky enough to eject. Viper and i went back to the Westfallen to hand the unioner pirates over to the Rhineland Military.
As we started back on our way home, we were amubused yet again, by uniorer fighters  This time they were even more reckless, probably because they were too emtional for use killing there buddys, and they were taking to much of there pproduct. We easliy sweept aside the fighters and began our uneventful trip home. which was a nice change for once.
When we retured to the Mississippi, Viper and I were congratulated by the Captain of the Mississippi, and said that our actions were above and beyond the call of duty. And he was gonna recommend us for the Star of Freedom, a medal that is awarded for bravery and couage under combat. But i think Viper was more happy to have survived his first day on patrol with the LS. I can see a great future with him, he has alot of polental to become a great fighter pilot. But for now im gonna enjoy a nice long and well deserved rest.
After a long journey to the New London system, we had very little time to rest before the drums of war were beating very loudly. Since war had been declared, none of the men in the fleet of gotten much rest, from chasing Arch-angel, to fending off pirate raids, to very long and tedious patrols of this forgien system.
Then today, on what was to be another boring patrol turned out to be one hell of a fight with the Notoruious pirate Darkstar. It all happened when Lt. Viper fighter wing, and m ship the Solomon were on patrol near the South-haptom shipyards, when a distress call went out from a convoy that was under attack by a group of unknown pirates, with odd looking ships. By the time we got to the place of the distress call. there was only a bunch of bunch of scatared hull fragments of the transport and its escorts. WE then started to head back to the ship yard when we were attacked by Darkstar and thepirates who were flying nomad ships! Several of the LS fighters were being shot down like flies, but thankfully for them, the missle baragge by the Solomon was able to even the odds. But Darkstar lived up to his name, in his skill as a pilot. He was hit serveral times by our missles, but he was still able to put up a strong fight, and fire several NOVA Class torpedos at the Solomon almost colapisng her shields and exposing the hull. But thankfully Lt. Viper was able to distract Darkstar long enough for our missiles to lock on and severally damage his ship. and in a wise move he was forced to snake away, under the cover of the other pirates. Of whom which none surrened and had to be destroyed, thus justice was served to the lost lives of the convoy and the Brave LS fighter pilots that gave their lives to help protect all the was good and prue in Sirus.
The sad thing about this war is that we havn't seen hid nor hair of the enemy, and some of us are beginning to wonder if we will ever engage in combat with them. Hopefully this will end soon, so i can go spend some well deserved time with my wife. God only hope that i survive to see her again....

*Note Thanks Viper for the idea of the logs, it is a great idea
