Is it me of did they really nerf the missle lancher?
I logged in for the first time in months to check some things out and when i got into a fight with some NPC's the first thing I did was hit the missle launch button, and not only got only One missle to go, it ate up more than half the power my Dragon Gunboat had.
So what happened to change the Missles like that and why?
The fact that in 4.84 a few people loaded up all missile turrets and went hunting vanilla ships was one of the reasons. They are still deadly, just now fitting more than two is pointless....even two is pushing it.

I disagree with the both of you. Fire the missiles in the right time and the opponent will feel the results. Just spamming them will probably hit some, but not as much as aimed shots. Why reduce your own potential?
To the changes... Energy consumption of the missiles was increased, but so was their damage - damage/energy was kept roughly the same. Later the missiles even got some additional shield damage.
Just a moment...just a moment.....ah yes...I have before me a report from several Outcast pirates, and one KNF pilot confirming that , yes indeed, missiles can still put a hurting on people. In fact the aiming thing and slow re-charge time makes it pleasurable!
gunship missiles are still highly dangerous, even if you have one. 1 missile will de shield a fighter, and its only a matter of time before your enemy frantically mashes the shield batteries button to get his shields up that he runs out of shield batteries, then he's royally screwed.
gunboats are designed as anti fighter/bomber, and if people know how to use em (which isn't really hard to do, really. not rocket science), they can land alot of damage and even survive long enough to win fights.
the only thing that currently has me pissed off is why the hell does freelancer have CMs when even 20 CMs fired in quick succession wont save you getting hit from a frikin missile, be it GB, BS, cruiser, or plain old cannonballs. and no, don't come at me with "use them tactfully, they work", since I've tried both that and mashing the cm button, nothing works.
