Mechwarrior 3

So the other day after I saw the preview for the avatar movie, I was digging through my old stack of PC games to find Savage... when I came across my Mechwarrior 3 CD. After more digging through my mess of a closet, I got my PC joystick, cleaned the inches of dust off of it, and set it up to play.

Anyone else still have this game? I know I had mechwarrior 4 at one point in time but I have no idea what happened to the CD. I need to get back into practice if MW5 is coming out anytime soon =P

Still have it. Can you believe I first beat that game on a computer with 32mb RAM?...

How was 4? I never got to try it.

4 was pretty good after you got used to the whole specific weapon type slots thing, which caused some initial outrage. I prefered MW4 Mercs, but then I've always been a fan of MW mercenary companies. I've never actually finished 3, 2 and 4 have had multiple playings.

Mechwarrior 2 had one of the most amazing soundtracks I've ever heard... you can put the disk into a CD player and hear it, so long as you skip track 1.

I did that with MW2 Mercs, don't remember the MW2 sound track. The Mercs one was indeed awesome.

that music brings back memories...

and @ Janus: I never liked the Thor much. My signature mech was the shadowcat, back when I played regularly I could take out an atlas in that fairly easily. I always prefered lighter mechs though... shadowcat, madcat, nova cat, etc... maybe I just like cats too much =)

I wonder if that soundtrack is on itunes...
