Joe shook his head. It's amazing how stupid some people can be. He yelled across the office at Lee, and told him to take some ships and the Angola and blockade outgoing Bretonian traffic.

Congratulations Captain James Tarn, you have, with an act of idle stupidity, ensured that your vessel will be stopped and inspected by the Rheinland Military at every step. As for leaving Rheinland with Cargo? No I don't forsee you getting away with it like you obviously have been.

It has come to our attention that this messageboard contains messages on the means bypassing RFP patrols to get contraband items from liberty to Rheinland and vice-versa. putting this message on open airwaves was not the wisest of ideas as each of the participants comm ID's have been recorded and ships that mach such comm signatures will be monitored in Rheinland space.
For all eyes reading this document, i repeat: There is a trade blockade bewteen Rheinland and Liberty, all goods past that border is contraband and deliberatly carrying all Rheinland-made goods to librety, and vice-versa, whatever the route, is Illegal and arrests can and have been made. It is against the law on both sides and can lead to loss of cargo and even destruction of the ship
Trust me when i say that buisnessmen in Vierlande don't usually emerge with all theyre sanity.

As a Bretonian Lieutenant Commander, I would rather no see the Liberty-Rheinland War spill over into the Bretonian house. I'll take it up with Armed Forces High Command to see what they wish to be done with Blockade runners coming through Her Majesty's space. I can assure you that Bretonia will provide a fair solution for both sides of the conflict, about these blockade runners.
Mister Bauer, Liberty and Bretonia has both signed and accepted the Curacao treaty, the Armed Forces won't have a problem with Liberty ships operating in Cortez and Magellan to stop these blockade runners.
Mister Einheld, and Mr. Schmidtt, Bretonia and Rheinland have accepted and agreed to the terms of Omega-3 being under Bretonian jurisdiction, while Omega-7 is under Rheinland's. So I'm sure the Admiralty board won't have a problem with ships operating in Omega-7.
Though, as for these blockade runners as a whole using Bretonia as a scape goat, That is what I'll take up with the Armed Forces High Command.

To all concerned parties,
The Bretonian Government wishes to reaffirm its committment to remaining neutral in the tragic conflict between the Republic of Liberty and the Federal Republic of Rheinland. We respect the right of both Houses to impose restrictions on trade for their national interest, as they respect our right to do likewise. However, in the light of this "unfortunate" transmission, we wish to clarify that we seek to avoid at all costs an extention of any trade blockades to close off the flow of trade between Rheinland and Bretonia or Bretonia and Liberty, both of which are vital to both our and your national interests. Rheinland depends on Bretonian superalloys just as Bretonia depends on Rheinland-made engine components. Without such trade, neither of us can supply our shipyards. Similarly the Boron-Berylium trade is vital to both the Bretonian and Libertonian economies. Bretonian gold provides liquidity for the international financial markets. And so forth for many essential goods and services. We therefore approach with great caution any talk of blocking trade to Bretonia due to fears of circumventing the Rheinland-Liberty Embargo.
We of course recognise the right of both the Republic of Liberty and the Federal Republic of Rheinland to stop and search ships within their sovereign space and wider operational zones, which includes Magellan and Cortez for Liberty and Omega 7 for Rheinland under the Treaty of Curacao and Omega Trade Pact respectively, and to confiscate any cargo which they have good reason to beleive is being transported in violation of their blockades as they respect our right to do likewise. However, I urge both House governments and their respective navies to utilise such powers with restraint and due understanding that the Bretonian government may be forced to resort to retalliatory measures in response to any extreme acts of protectionism that result from this. We can take no responsibility for ships using our space to fly between Rheinland and Liberty, nor shall the Bretonian Armed Forces be used to enforce against such actions.
I would also like to point out that, despite what this fool says in his transmissions, Kusari and the Sigmas remains just as likely, if not more so, to be a source of blockade evasion than Bretonia does. In fact, I have been advised on consultation with our Intelligence Services that there is a possibility that the individual originally responsible for this transmission may in fact be a Kusari Kampetai agent attempting to discredit Bretonian trade routes in the eyes of your governments and distract attention from similar blockade evasion passing through Kusari.
Trusting your understanding on this delicate issue,
Yours in good faith,
Lord Charles Canning
9th Earl of Malmesbury
Foreign Secretary of Bretonia

Nice going! I see you make friends well by making an already difficult living harder. You should turn in your command for a mop and bucket at a local Freeport cleaning the rest rooms!! I can arrange it. Lucky for me, I make my living mostly in the Borderworlds anyway like a good Zoner.

My good sir, that is simply a dishonest and rude thing to do. I mean, I don't know what this war thing is about either, but that doesn't give you the right to go about willy nilly and upset people. I still trade with all the houses (excluding the new kid on the block) and I do so legally. Honestly, the people who instigate these wars have no respect for others friends or peers.

"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."
