Get a lawful battleship and wtfpwn the pirates then. Just make sure you have a few dozen fighters helping you if they decide to come at you with bombers =P

Its not the GB pirates that's the issue here bub ... its the lack of lawfuls. Things go in waves. There were no rules created to limit the uber-cap lawfuls way back ... why advocate for rules now? Sounds more like lawfuls need to get active and recruit.

It would appear the lawfuls worked to fix their cap issues. Pirate caps always were there, only now the lawfuls have managed to cut theirs down to a respectable number, however the pirates haven't been able to do the same. Many factions have tried, LR (denying access to dock on the bases with caps, I was a fool to be against this action when you first did it, I apologize) and all the others who tried registrations. Unfortunately they failed.
As a result we now have less lawfuls and more pirates. The balance is broken by our work to reduce capship levels. Indeed it is the lawfuls fault, that we cut our numbers down unevenly compared to the pirates.
Apparently our controlling and being reasonable set us up for the problem
So I'm gonna call out to the pirates out there, to be reasonable. You see a LF don't attack it with a GB, log something more... even. (God forbid you try a LF!)
Most pirates these days, are only out to get that little blue message. To make themselves feel good. (Perhaps to compensate for something else that is small, they fly big ships?) I haven't seen a SINGLE pirate capship that RPs yet in liberty. All just want to kill and ruin other peoples fun.
So to the pirates out there. I suggest, no... I challenge you to hop in a light fighter or a heavy fighter and see how much more fun you can have, while allowing others to have fun also.

Of course, this is impossible to actually pull off. But hey, let's all pull out fanciful "if only" solutions that make us feel better while not actually solving the problem. Because obviously escalation is the solution.

Also, with five you can kill a GB in 10 seconds. 2 SNAC off the shield and the other 3 SNAC a second later and hit the hull. 2 SNACs will drop the shield completely, 3 SNACs will destroy all the hull completely and insta-kill it. So five is the best number for killing GB swarms, unless you can get move than 5.

Odd really, you need 2 to take down a carrier but 5 to take out a gunboat.
Unfortunately threads like these do little to change the circumstances. Everyone here on the forums will agree with you, and yet nothing will change in game.

Seriously? There were like ten pirates (maybe more) in Liberty today, and only hmr...FOUR? LPI to deal with it, let me stress how bad that is, We're the L.P.I.Not the Navy, We cannot fight swarms of caps/bombers by ourselves, so we got utterly destroyed, several times.
