Almost every LPI has a normal patrol vehicle (the patriotberator) and a SWAT unit, consisting of Roc's and Eagle's. We need more people if we want more bombers. We need more ACTIVE people. Theres a crapload of us right now, we just have 2 or 3 at a time on though.
WHY NOT MAKE SURE EVERY LPI IS ARMED WITH A GUNBOAT/BOMBER OR MORE?
Then they have to deal with a bunch of morons complaining about them spamming gunboats and bombers?

Now, I have to agree with Baltar, not all Pirates are the problem, and yes, there is enough problems on both sides, but when it comes down to the point that a faction almost can't play, I say the problem is now hurting server play and something needs done. Perhaps a bigger hitbox for the Tridente, the most spammed GB?
I didn't realise you got gank squads every time you log on. In which case, out numbering them is probably the only answer short of seriously restricting gunboats via the rules.
In fact, I'll post an application for LPI later, I've been thinking about doing it for a while. But this seems like a good time, if you guys are seriously getting ganked everytime, then another patriot can't hurt.
Get some SWAT Gunboats, learn how to fly them then take the fight to them. I can kill most of the tridentes I've seen without even losing my shields in my Orca. I'm fairly sure it'd be within the LPI's RP to use them, and they also work well against smugglers. The smugglers work with the unlawful gunboats, so if you catch a smuggler expect to find a tridente coming (in populated hours).
They populate New York (though not to the exaggerated levels here) because there are a lot of traders, a lot of people to pirate / kill and not much resistance at most times.
Edit: Restricting gunboats is not really the solution, given not all liberty unlawfuls in gunboats are losers. The players are the problem, so beating them out of liberty can work. Just don't send small groups of bombers against them unless there's a giant skill gap between you - you'll likely die or just teach them how to fight bombers properly.

b. log off
logging off does not solve the problem and in fact gives pirates more freedom. Why do you think a corsair can sit in pensylvania outside erie and tax everyone for 10 minutes?
c. GB/Bomber Arms Race
You would need to form a faction that is dedicated to pooling wealth to buy high end equipment. It does not even have to be a faction, just an aggreement.
