My first day back in-game

Heya people,

As the Topic Title says it was my first day back in-game since a loooooooooooooong time.
Now this won't just be a random topic, something wierds has happened this day and I just really like to share that.

I decided to join the Liberty Rogues as an indie. So I started with some mining at pitts to make my starters money. After some time I made it and bought the necessary bribes, got myself the Hyena with was totally unarmed as Alcatraz didn't had something interesting.
So I decided to make my way to Cassini, when I undocked another Rogue bomber was out there and asked me where I was going unarmed, so I told him that and he seemed to go to Galileo, so I tagged along.
That was the first friendly person I met that day.

Along the way we ran into this Zoner IFF'd trader which we tried to pursuit (as I needed some money for my ship badly) but he simply was to far away. But this Zoner suddenly gave me 500K, and me and him started to talk. We got to Galileo and me and the other Rogue split while still chatting with that Zoner.
In the meantime I was buying some equipment in Cassini, started doing some missions to get more money to get the Werewolf.
Until that Zoner gave me 5 mil! (6 total) Simply to help me out, so he was like the second friendly person I've met. (Respect for IKV_veQDuj)

But now it gets more interesting.
When I was still in my Hyena I found myself in Cortez when I suddenly got PM'd by an outcast [XTF]-The Borealis if I had seen another Outcast that seemed to have shot down a Cardamine trader.
We tracked him down along with a friend of his.. two gunboats, the XTF was in a gunboat to but that just didn't do it. The XTF died and I had to run.
But I was really shocked by the fact that Outcasts are shooting each other and their allies, it was RP correct for them to self defend and it was RP correct for XTF to engage them as they hold up the OC cardamine trade. So well I left that behind as I hoped those odd things wouldn't happen that much.

But I was VERY wrong.
I got my werewolf (thanks to the Zoner) pretty basic equipped (no armor upgrade, but some class 9 guns) After scaring some Liberty's at Pittsburgh I decided to move towards Texas because New York was way to crowded as usual. So I arrive in Texas, move towards the trade lane and find an XTF Gunboat (Outcast) a Indie Liberty Rogue gunboat and two hackers (as far as I could see)
And they were all over this one trader, so I closed in to assist, and just before the trader died the Rogue gunboat started to go totally nuts on me, shooting at me, yelling that it's their territory and their loot (while I didn't looted anyway) and that me and those XTF are not welcome and should leave or get killed!

So yes I left, I docked and logged.
And now I wanna hear you guys about this, what is up with the pirates these days?
Theres a massive fleet of LPI/LSF/Navy boys out there and all we pirates do is shoot each other?
What is this madness turning into?

I'm just really confused..

Pardon the bluntness of my comment but...

...Welcome to Discovery. 9/10ths of all the pirates I've met on the server are people who generally can't rub two brain cells together. That's not to say that there aren't any good ones out there, but most of the pirates are just idiots. Plain and simple.

What was the pirates name? Depending on that it may happen to be that he is a little loopy, got angry for RP purposes, or something other than that.

My advice would be just don't go near any other pirates as most are just lolwut's is gunboats that'll shoot at you for getting to near. oh, and get a bomber, that'll take down those those stupid gunboats no worries.
