Leon was born in 777 A.S. He did well in school and was quite intelligent, though he didn't like to show it. He was quite shy and would usually keep to himself. When the flight academy got him in, they quickly concluded that he was most fit for a light fighter, thanks to his fast reflexes and creative way of flying.
When he was almost 19 years old in 795 A.S. His mother who was a pilot stationed in Theta, was ambushed and killed along with the rest of her squad by the outcasts
This however was very normal for a Corsair. Many would have lost one or both their parents by the age of 19.
Due to this however, Leon became even more distant and a loner than before, and since then never really opened up to anyone. Not even his own brother Arsenio.
His father who was the captain on an M26 class gunboat were In 796 A.S., after the "Order - Corsair alliance" was formed, instructed to thoroughly map any locations in the Alaska system. Along for the ride he had his crew and his two sons. Arsenio who was 14, and Leon who was 20.
**Opening Record Files**
Leon was walking down the corridor towards the captains room. He needed to have a word with his father. He stopped outside the door. He could hear voices from the room. It sounded like his father was talking to someone in the radio. -Leons father: I-I'm glad you have another task for me. My rations are r-running low.
-Unknown voice: Good to hear that we reached you in time. We are looking forward to the outcome, of what we have in store for you with great anticipation.
-Leons father: As for my needs... You will keep your end of the bargain?
-Unknown voice: Naturally. And if you're lucky we might even have need of you again. And if not... Well you will certainly come to us won't you?
-Leons father: As if I have a choice. I... I don't want to-
**He is cut off**
-Unknown voice: Yes yes that's all very tragic, but we really have to cut to the chase and you will find your "reward" at the same location as the last time.
-Leons father: So what is it you will have me do?
-Unknown voice: This alliance you have formed with the Order doesn't sit right with us, but it is still so new and so weak. If you were to engage and destroy a few Order patrols... I believe you understand what I'm getting at?
-Leons father: And how am I gonna explain it to the crew? And my sons?
-Unknown voice: That really isn't our problem is it? Be a bit creative! Your life depends on it you know. You know what happens if you don't get this little "reward."
-Computer voice: Transmission uplink terminated.
Leon felt empty inside. His father was a traitor to the corsair empire. He was seeking to prolong his life. That conversation had cardamine addiction written all over it.
Leon's blood started to boil. He could feel an anger, like he never felt before. His own father was a treacherous coward, who was putting his own life ahead of the Corsair empire and his brethren. His very comrades.
Leon opened the door and marched in, his whole body was shaking. His father was sitting in his chair with a worried look on his face, and his eyes full of regret. He looked up and wiped a tear away from his eye.
-Leons father: Oh it is you Leon. What can I do for you?
-Leon: Nothing! You have done enough already! HOW COULD YOU?!
His fathers face turned more and more pale. -Leons father: What? What do you mean?
-Leon: Drop the act! I heard everything!
Leon pulled out his gun, his hand was shaking, but he felt that he had to do this. -Leons father: No! Please let me explain myself!
-Leon: There is nothing to explain. I know all that I need to know!
His hand was now shaking worse than before.
He thought of all the proud Corsair soldiers out there. Putting their lives on the line every day. For their families. For a brighter future. For the Corsair empire.
He pulled the trigger.
He saw his father fall to the floor. He still had a shocked and panicked look on his face.
Leon's rage was starting to settle, and a hollow empty sadness was starting to take it's place. A feeling that would have to wait, because he still wasn't done here.
Leon grapped his fathers arm and dragged him out of the room. Someone was walking away further down the corridor. He dragged his father into the airlock, sealed it and then opened the the door. He watched as his father was dragged out of the ship, and into deep space where he disappeared among the ice shard asteroids. Leon stood there and stared at the passing asteroids for a little while.
The alarm suddenly sounded. Leon opened his eyes. He was on his knees staring at the sealed airlock door. He could see nomads outside. Many of them. People was running back and forth yelling ("We're under attack! Where is the captain? The ship isn't gonna hold!"),
The air was thick with smoke. the ship was on fire. He rushed to the control room. It didn't look good. He grabbed the microphone, The damage is critical and the captain is dead! Abandon Ship! I repeat Abandon ship!
The window was starting to crack. He ran out of the control room and rushed for the escape pods. The rest of the crew had already left except for his brother who was here. There were only two pods remaining, but one of them was on fire. He and Arsenio both stared at the remaining pod. It could only support life for one person.
-Arsenio: "Now you're gonna make me take the pod aren't you?"
Leon nodded. -Arsenio: "Is father really dead?"
-Leon: "He is." -Arsenio: "I'll come and find you."
-Leon: "Just go. There is no time."
The ship was starting to shake violently.
Arsenio got in the pod and took off.
Leon waited for the inevitable. Waited for the ship to explode, but it didn't seem to happen. He passed out.
**Exiting Record Files**
21 years later in 817 A.S. Leon woke up on planet Erie in Pennsylvania. He had been found in the condition of coma.
Leon returned to the Corsair empire a few weeks later, only to find that his brother had been ambushed and killed while on patrol, just a few months ago.
To this day Leon fights on for a brighter future for the Corsair empire. He has since been made an Elder, in acknowlegdement of his undying loyalty to the Corsairs.
