Dear amigos,
I understand that you policy towards independent Zoners has changed recently. I have had several encounters with members of your faction and it was common that I give substantial donation.
Now, that donation has recently become rather unreasonable. Half of my cargo is a bit harsh. Today it was second time that I had to give that much to one of you, but what bothers me the most is the fact that it was same OPG who saw me delivering food to Crete, maybe minutes before he took half of my deuterium cargo.
Explanation - it was not inbound to Crete. So this is how the situation is now:
1) Those who deliver food to Crete get robbed half of their cargo when it's not going to Crete.
2) Those who DON'T deliver food to Crete get robbed half of their cargo when it's not going to Crete
Question that comes to anyone's sane mind: Why would I even bother and deliver food to Crete?
Or: Why would I linger in space where one way route costs me roughly 5 million credits? (when it became almost common courtesy that pirates don't take more then 2 million credits on busy routes)
I know you're less harsh to those "fictionalized" Zoners but what about us who don't want to be a part of the organisation with the strict hierarchy? Aren't we "group of individuals"? Does it mean that Zoner ways of the old don't work well for you now and we need to change? Will that change in the end result with loosened ties between our people and Corsairs will have to find someone else to provide them with food?
No hard feelings here but just I would like to hear an explanation
Zoner, Mohammad-Sadiq Al Noori, you are absolutely correct. Crete offers safe passage to those willing to trade Food Rations and take back Conductors or whatever they want from Gamma back to their Zoner bases. If you are not hauling that, you are a target to bring us profit. Some might expect a word like sadly here, but I'm not one of them. I expect a profit cut from every route that does not supply Crete or some other Corsair base with Food, Medicine and on some cases Hfuel.
And this courtesy that you talk of has no meaning to me while my people are starving. OPG itself took more than 10k of units to the Crete yesterday by ambushing traders in Omega3. If we can do that much with trade, imagine your power to do so with you that have much more to lose if you travel trough our space without it.
Our space is our domain. My advice to you is not to get caught. if your caught carrying goods not for cadiz or crete expect us to take a fair portion of your cargo. In time I may be persuaded by your relentless enthusiasm to lessen the tax on you depending upon how much of an impact you have on the corsair nation. Yes ive seen you a few times making deliveries but ive seen you more times making them without our interests. In these situations you get taxed.
That IS my policy.
It is not negotiable.
If I decide your a true friend I might revisit that.
