Zoners Abolishing Slavery members and supporters, today is a good day for humanity.
When our organisation was formed I had a dream, a dream that is only starting to be realised now. On the way there have been mistakes and losses, but also overwhelming victories. Many of our number are those success stories.
Finally, after many months, we have the resources to begin our largest-scale operations to date. As of today we shall hit the slavetrade at its weakest and most important point, as of today all of our vessels are permitted to declare hostile and interdict, any Slaver IDentified, or slave carrying, vessels; and any others disclosed in this channel; using whatever means necessary.
We have a mountain to climb, but if you remove the mountain's base, the top will fall.
Keep up the life-changing work,
We are for Hope, for Safety, for Freedom; we are the Zoners Abolishing Slavery.

As one of the Abolitionist Movement's benefactors, I would like to ask- how is this policy any different than what it was previously?
Thank you, and good luck in your endeavors.

[Channel Response] In our initial phases our only option was to use our contacts and political sway to purchase the lives of those exploited. In some ways this was unbeneficial to our cause, however it helped to 'find our feet' as it were.
In recent times, thankfully, we have been able to allow some of our vessels and pilots to interdict slave carrying vessels, this has been greatly successful, and now we feel we can permit all of our ships to interdict or destroy if necessary or possible. Its a large step forward which should make our operations more efficient.
Our gratitiude for your support of the Abolitionist Movement, it is a pleasure to see the support for such a cause
Sir Lameos out.
// we're no longer using the vigilante ID, this notice is our 'declaring them hostile' for the Zoner ID to be used.
It's a pleasure to hear about progress being made on the anti-slavery front. Highland Security is an independent company, but we have strong feelings on the issue.
[Channel Response: ~Lt. Commander Jack Malrone. >ZAS.] Officer Malrone, a response from the Libertonian government is long overdue. I can understand this is a delicate subject, however your delays to make a decision are sickening. Several times it seems you pretend you are deliberating, and a decision will be made soon. I wonder if this is actually true, or you are simply attempting to create a positive PR image in front of your citizens. I will not be played for a fool Officer, and playing with people's lives is not something to be taken lightly.
[Channel Response: John Freeman] I have great hopes that our groups can co-operate with great success, bear in mind our rehabilitation centre on Corfu is producing excellent results. The LWB are also involved in such moral actions.
The security and defense of Liberty is the Navy's number one concern - With Rheinland openly attacking our borders, our focus has been on their onslaughts and reprisals. I assure you, Sir Lameos, rooting out slaving "enterprises" within Liberty is a large concern that is being taken under serious consideration at the moment.
That being said, I still haven't received permission from higher up to commence diplomatic proceedings. Hopefully I will receive the all-clear to proceed within a matter of days.

I'd just like to say, good on you and well done. Your continued work helps save the lives and freedom of passengers throughout the sector, and those unfortunate souls who are abducted every day.
Keep up the good work, ZAS, and we'll let you know if we have any information for you.

I must take this opportunity to laugh at your attempt to stop the slave trade. So far my ship has encountered zero of your forces... Also should you actually manage to interdict us your futile attempt will be thwarted.

A small lead cylinder was found among the plutonium fuel rods delivered to Lanzarote Base. An address on Gran Canaria was stenciled on the side. There was also a delivery code that promised payment for safe and unopened delivery...
When delivered and examined by the recipient, it delivered the following message:
**BIOMETRIC SCAN INITIATED**
**RECIPIENT "Sir Coriko Lameos"**
**SECURE MESSAGE ENCLOSED**
Dear Coriko-san,
I am Guild Master Azuki Tamagochi of the Gas Miners Guild.
This message is sent to you in goodwill, with a view to securing your support in matters close to your heart.
For the longest time the Guild has been intercepting slave ships bound for Outcast space. Our stance against the Outcasts and their abominable practices is well known and documented.
I have to tell you though that the issue of human labour is more...complicated for us now.
You see with the development of our facilities in Okinawa, we have a voracious appetite for labour to work in our mining facilities. With such a financial boon comes opportunities for conduct both fair and foul.
And there is a saying for living with the Guild, actually I have to thank a Libertonian trader for providing me the best translation for it:
"There is no such thing as a free lunch in the Guild!"
At the present time, liberated slaves are taken to Isehara Terraforming Platform. As you know it can take weeks or even months to repatriate a former slave. During this time, like everyone else, they work for their food, lodging, and oxygen.
This in itself I have no issue with. We source labour from a number of sources. We bring in refugees from the Taus, some Bretonian PoWs are sent to us (and thus kept out of the tender mercies of the KNF), as well as contract labour.
My issue is that I feel we do not have the necessary expertise to handle some of our more troubled 'guests'. We are finding some former slaves are turning up again on slave ships AFTER they have been released.
Worse still, some guests with serious mental health issues are slipping through the cracks, and being incarcerated in higher security work camps because they are being deemed a risk to others. I have no doubt that some of our less scrupulous Guild businessmen are exploiting this to pad out their workgroups with cheap labour. Such is the economic imperative at this time that this issue could get out of hand...
What I am looking to establish with you and your group is your cooperation. I want the ZAS to assist the GMG in the liberation and transportation of refugees and slaves into Okinawa.
This would allow you to monitor the rehabilitation of these people and make reports to the Guild Masters.
It will help me to identify individuals that might be more at risk of falling through the cracks, and ensure that these individuals are less likely to be abused.
Eventually, we hope to establish a more permanent repatriation scheme, whereby people leave Okinawa as Passengers. In the short-term, I am sure you could find a number of commodities you can take back home.
In conclusion, I hope that we can come to a cordial arrangement.
