Nethack, Jetpack, Quake, Total Annihilation, Alpha Centauri, various educational games such as Ancient Empires, Sim Earth, Diablo, Baldur's Gate, Pool of Radiance, couple of Wing Commanders, Heavy Gear, others... Depends on if you count 'kid' as all the way up to 18.
played alot of Sonic The Hedgehog on Mega Driver (Genisis?), and Starcraft.
Then i got a N64 and probably played some of the greatest games i've ever played.
still love playing 64 when im drunk or high
Doom, doom2, heretic, and warcraft are some of the most fondly remembered ones for the pc.
There were other assorted atary, nintendo and sega games that are to numerous to name.
I was 14 and it was first game that made me so tense I didn't like playing it sometimes.
Too right, that game was scary, I think I first had it round about when I was 14 too and I don't think I ever completed it!
I started off with a NES when I was a wee chap, but the SNES quickly came out so I was playing games like Super Mario World, A Link to the Past (when it came out) - mostly SNES games.
My first true love was the Playstation though, ahh the memories:P
