Ex-Admiral Porter, Captain of the LNX-Thunderbay:
I do hope that you're joking, and would advise you that if you are, your humour is lost on us.
However, since you seem completely serious, I'll also refrain from commenting about your level of maturity and seeming inability to take a slight to your character on the chin. Despite your apparently impecable record of service according to your close friend Captain Patterson, I find it somewhat unsurprising that you've thought to take such drastic measures.
Being stationed for months and months in lawless space rubs off on some people. Perhaps a bit of that lawlessness is seeping into your persona? But, I suppose you think you know better. After all, doing what you think is right comes above what everyone else thinks, doesn't it? Sarcasm by the way, the lowest form of wit to reflect to whom I am speaking.
You and your remaining crew will be charged with treason and punished accordingly. I wasn't going to do that, because as Captain Patterson said, I was merely warning you that such talk could be construed as traitorous. But, it seems, you've decided to take that one step further and actually become a burden to the nation you reportedly hold close to your heart. Incidentally, closer to your heart than one of your collegues and confessed lover. Shame on you.
Expect a visit.
Captain Patterson of the LNS-Ft.Louisbourg;
Whilst your hesitation to fire on the Thunderbay was questionable, it is my personal view that any charges against you be dropped.
As you said, the decision to injure, possibly killing a loved one, is not one that can be made in a split second by the vast majority of officers. This is compounded by the fact that it was this loved one who was committing the crime. However, in the future, bear in mind that you may not understand the actions of your loved one because they are not who they claim to be. Remember, subtle manipulation is the main skill of the nomad inflitrators. You will have to pull the trigger next time, or risk possible Sirius-wide casualties directly caused by the Thunderbay numbering far above its own crew and her Captain.
The three hundred crew that you rescued from the Thunderbay will not be charged with any crime. They chose to stay on the right side, and will certainly not be punished for it. If you wish to absorb them into the crew of the Fort Louisbourg, then that is your perogative. However, please make sure that they are isolated until such a time as they are all tested for nomad infections.

New Recruit Roy Sterling, reporting in. I believe I have fulfilled my quotas of flight time: http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr17/lab205/ID-1.jpg
During this training period I have run missions, gone on patrols, engaged pirates, and served with notable members of the navy command including Commander Casero and Admiral Hale. For the entirety of this time I have been shot down only once, and the auto eject engaged flawlessly, leaving me unscathed. Please note, though I have only been shot down once, I have never fled from battle unless directly ordered to do so. I believe myself fit to move up in rank and I hope you think so as well. That being said, I eagerly await your verdict.
Recruit Roy Sterling has fulfilled his quota of flight time and is promoted to ensign of the Liberty Navy. Feel free to purchase your Guardian at any point from now on. The roster will be updated at the next available opportunity.

Subject: Gun Run
Just to start, today's patrol has been hectic, and quite comical. I undocked my Guardian from Mississippi and headed to Virginia to assist Ensign Marius with a bit of weaponry selection. Unfortunately, the lane was disrupted by a rogue gunboat trying to pirate a transport before my eyes. I told the transport to scram and not to pay the scoundrel. Then the comedy started as we watched the transport turn into a mere dot.
Marius arrived on the scene in his Avenger as the pirate for some hilarious reason told us we had 30 seconds to evacuate our own space. After laughing in his face until the count was up, he fired on us, but sitting still even for two fighters he was no matched and perished rather quickly.
Subject: Reinforcement of Reconnisance
Later on Commodore Robinson chose me as her wingman to ascertain some data we were unsure about from the last recon mission. We were only interested in checking Altona and Alster Shipyard. Altona was inspected without trouble, but as we made way for Alster, a bomber intercepted us. The Commodore instructed me to hold him off until she obtained all the necessary data. Luckily I was able to do much more as she finished. Afterwards we received a distress call from Admiral Hale to deal with some Phantoms.
Subject: Defense of New York
Commodore Robinson arrived on the scene shortly before myself. I was instructed to engage as soon as I was in range. First targetting the bombers as Hale instructed. There was a bomber Id never seen before, and the weaponry was strange too, but nonetheless Zeevs rage was no match for the might of the Liberty Navy.
Gentles Praetorian was next, a ship I was slightly more familiar with. In combination with Admiral Hale and Commodore Robinsons gunfire, my mini razor aim held true and he fell in no time.
The rest of the encounter was quite eerie I dont remember much besides glimpse of explosions from Hales success as I began to lock in combat with the Black Rose. She casually chatted with a mercenary who stood idle as she danced her dance of death, green and red tracers to match. I tried to straighten up and maintain my cool as I heard the Admiral say she was all mine over comms.
Thebattle was taking its toll on my nerves as we continued to even out the damage to one another. I cant quite recall how, but I was able to strike a direct hit with my mini razor causing her ship critical damage, just before mine had reached the breaking point.
After Black Rose was forced to evacuate her vessel, I hit formation with Commodore Robinson to have my ship lead to dock for immediate repairs as my systems were fried. Im now on Fort Bush performing routine exercises and waiting for my Guardian to be mended completely.

SUBJECT: Rogue Assault of Manhattan
My Intelligence advisor/XO Secretary Julia Wolfe, gave me a report of a Rogue Destroyer class vessel named Red_Dawn in Manhattan's orbit. I mobilised the Utah immediately to take her out, we had the assistance of the Liberty Security Force with agents Hansen and Interceptor. Much to all of our surprise the destroyer was poorly armed and did not even breach the shields of the Utah. Her captain was a confused fellow, he opted to attack our two bomber escorts full on rather than us, I wasn't complaining. It gave my artillery crews the chance to aim those Light Mortars with deadly accuracy. Well we destroyed her and took her crew prisoner, they will be remanded in custody to await their trial's.
Below is the details of today's patrol in Liberty. We came up against incursions in the zone, as well as numerous pirates and rogues.
>Order incursion ~ CLASSIFIED
As I reported in for duty, Commander Darkmoor and Ensign Redline were already en route to Zone-21, where a possible terrorist fleet was amassing. As we entered the zone, a spatial was detected emerging from the gate. Showing no authorised papers, he was deemed a risk to the safety of the house and terminated.
After this one was dealt with, our attack wing proceeded into Alaska. Commander Darkmoor ordered we fan out and attempt to locate the targets. After just a few minutes of searching, they were located near the Omicron Minor jumphole. Commander Darkmoor and myself ordered the captains to release their prisoners and return to Minor.
After a tense couple of minutes, the captain of the Anath simply entered the jumphole to Minor, carrying with her dozens of Navy hostages. At that point, Commander Darkmoor ordered us to engage all Order ships in the area. The Norad-II was downed, however, the gunboat Kage.Hataku managed to evade us.
Throughout the engagement, an unknown Navy "officer" was ordering us to cease fire on the terrorist ships. He voiced his opinion about how these Order scum are apparently our "friends"
Quote:The Order only do good
-DarkAvenger
I took this as a possible breech of security - He may have been a spy among the ranks. He not only questioned orders, but also blatantly disregarded orders from Commander Darkmoor. We abided by protocol and attempted to arrest the possible spy. However, he opened fire and we defended ourselves. With his ship on fire, the spy made a run for Omicron Minor. We didn't pursue him - The risk would've been too great.
I hope the LSF can deal with this matter further.
>Pirate ~ New York
Coming back from Zone-21, I heard a distress call from a trader ship being pirated near Planet Pittsburg. Myself and a Hunter bomber, BHG|Fireball, moved to engage the pirate. We were on approach to Pittsburg when the lane was disrupted, however the pirate was already firmly within our sights. Our combined firepower brought down the unarmoured gunship swiftly.
>Pirates/Rogues ~ California
Before I had a chance to take a breath, more pirates had been confirmed in California. I made my way there as soon as possible and found two hostile gunboats and a fighter merely idling as I exited the jumpgate. All of the targets had hostages on board and I issued a verbal warning to release them. They failed to comply and were engaged with the full force of my weapons. The first gunboat went down fairly quickly, with the other gunboat managing to escape in the scuffle. As I left a mercenary to neutralise the final fighter, a Rogue Destroyer emerged from the New York jumpgate! I classed him as backup for the pirates and ordered the ship be destroyed immediately. Turns out, three bombers are more than sufficient to neutralise such a large threat.
Report Summary
ArmyGuy --ZONE 21 INTRUDER-- --NEUTRALISED--
Anath, Kage.Hataku --ORDER TERRORISTS-- --ESCAPED WITH HOSTAGES--
Norad-II --ORDER TERRORIST-- --NEUTRALISED--
~X<Nova>GB~ --PIRATE-- --NEUTRALISED--
Sad.Sot --ROGUE-- --ESCAPED--
Tyberius, Red_Dawn --ROGUES-- --NEUTRALISED--
>Commendations
Not really a commendation, however, Ensign Redline managed to land a supernova hit onto Commander Darkmoor's Upholder during the classified battle in Zone-21. An excellent shot that should be ingrained on his record forever.

SUBJECT: Phantom attack
Afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I just want to express my gratitude to both Commodore Robinson and Ensign Stevenson on coming to my aid so very quickly. I was unlikely to be able to take on all five or six at once, and frankly, you saved my bacon.
Although, three Navy Guardians defeating some six hostile fighter class vessels is a remarkable feat. I can't help but feel a little proud.
On that note, and due to excellent performace and bravery in the field, I'm promoting Ralph Stevenson to Sub-Lieutenant. If you keep up the quality of work, combat prowess and impecable conduct you've shown so far, you'll rise rather quickly through the ranks.
Yeah, go ahead. laugh it up, lt commander. let`s all laugh at Virgil because he almost accidentally shot the wrong ship to pieces. My heart was serene, my snac was charged and my aim was perfect... off. won`t happen again...
Also, the ship which I used to shoot commander Darkmoor is my new Upholder, designated [LN]-Virgil.Redline. It can be added to the roster whenever command feels like it.
